Vant Announce Split

Vant have announced that they are to split up at sthe end of next month after their upcoming tour, which concludes on November 18th in Edinburgh.

This is what the band have posted to their fans.

“Some of you were right to question the title of our upcoming tour ‘The Last Days Of Punk’,” the band’s statement reads. “We can now officially reveal that we are going on an indefinite hiatus.

“We wanted to end this part of our journey where we began, in tiny venues, in often over-looked towns. We came from those places (Seaham, Poulton-le-Fylde, Sandy Lane, Bensham) and when a band played anywhere near us, whoever they may have been, we were grateful and elated. They were the bands that made us want to make music in the first place. They showed us it was possible.

“It seems apt for us to return the favour one last time before we depart to explore other musical worlds for a while.”

The band will release a brand new mini-album, ‘Talk Like Thunder’, in the coming weeks. Check out the full statement from the band via Facebook.

Every Time I Die Part Ways With Drummer, Daniel Davison

I’ll just say this, and I don’t mean to be rude but what is it with drummers leaving bands? Every year I see numerous members leave bands and most of them in these announcements are the drummers. But I can’t criticise because these bands do so much for fans, they are superhumans in some respects and amazing people!

But it has been announced that Daniel Davison, the drummer of Every Time I Die has parted ways with the band. On his departure, he posted this via Instagram.

On the replacement for the drummer, an official replacement is to be confirmed, but former Norma JEan drummer Clayton Holyoak will be stepping up to the forthcoming live shows.
