Milestones Announce Break-Up, Heading Out For Final Tour

And that’s one more UK band that is deciding to call it a day. This would be Milestones. I have to say, it kills me with this one because they’ve put out consistently great music, which includes their debut record ‘Red Lights’ which for myself, has been one of the finest from this year.

But the decision was mutually agreed, as each of the members looks to pursue other avenues and begin new chapters in their lives.

Did Creeper Brake Up In London The Other Night?

Many have been left in devastation and a little bit of confusion over the last few days following Creeper’s headline show at London’s KOKO.

After a set where the Southampton Punks powered through all the classics and some deep-cuts, Will Gould made an announcement before their encore track of ‘Misery’.

“Of all the shows we’ve played in this last four years, this one will remain with us the longest, because not only is it the last show of this album, but it’s the last show that we’ll ever do” shared the enigmatic Gould.

The speech Gould delivered is an almost word for word performance of the famed speech delivered by David Bowie at the Hammersmith Apollo on July 03, 1973 where he killed off his character Ziggy Stardust. To the shock of fans, Bowie shared “This has been one of the greatest tours of our life… Of all the shows on this tour, this one will remain with us the longest, because not only is it the last show of the tour, but it’s the last show that we will ever do.”

Right here, I’m calling bull**** that they’re breaking up because this is exactly what Creeper do. Before the release of their first record, ‘Eternity In Your Arms’, the band appeared to be kidnapped but it was all a publicity stunt. So if you ask me, did they pull a Bowie? Absolutely! Although, there is the chance that this could all be real but I guess we’ll all find out soon, hopefully.

Whether this is the end, of the beginning of a new era of music for the band, you cannot deny how mesmerising the band has been and the impact they have had on their fans.
