Max Britton Announces Departure From Deaf Havana

Deaf Havana acoustic guitarist and keyboardist Max Britton has announced his departure from the band.

In a statement posted via Facebook, he cited no longer enjoying the touring aspect of being in the band.

You can read the full statement below.

“This is definitely the hardest thing I have ever had to write,

After much agonising over the past couple of months, I’ve decided it’s time for me to leave Deaf Havana.

The biggest thing for me is I really haven’t been enjoying touring and being away at all, so much so that I’ve had to make this really tough decision, as it was starting to affect my health.

I can’t thank the boys (Deaf Havana) enough for welcoming me in and letting me be a part of this journey I have seriously had the best times of my life and memories that will always stay with me. We have been through so much together and we’ll have a bond that many people will never have and love them all from the bottom of my heart.

It’s been the most insane ride with many up’s and downs and I can’t believe how much we have accomplished as a band. I know this is only the start and 2019 is going to be a massive year for Deaf Havana which I will be very proud to watch!

Finally, the one thing that has made this all possible is having you guys, the best fans in the world, so’d like to thank each and every one of you for that.

Love you all

Max xxx”

Frank Iero Announces Name Of New Band

This is the moment we’ve been waiting for, for a long time.

Frank Iero has been teasing for months on the name of the new iteration of his band for a while and now we’ve had to go on for a clue is Frank Iero And The _______.

Now though, we have the name… The Future Violents.

Korn Working With Travis Barker & John Feldmann

Nu-Metal legends Korn have been away working on their follow up record to their 2016 effort, ‘The Serenity of Suffering’.

Though nothing has really been revealed yet, Brian Welch has said in an interview with Revolver they have been working on writing and demos with Blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker and Goldfinger frontman and producer, John Feldman. You can read an excerpt from the interview below.

“The new record, I’m very stoked on. I can’t wait to get that done. There’s a lot left to do. What we have is really encouraging. We have been writing and we have tracked most of the drums. But we’ll probably write a couple more songs — that always happens. At the beginning of the year, we’re going to really focus and get it done.

We’re doing it all over. We’ve been to Nashville a few times, we’ve done a lot in L.A. We actually wrote with John Feldmann, too, for the demos. Travis Barker laid the temporary drums for some, and that was cool. We’ve known John Feldmann since ’87 — he was in Electric Love Hogs. So we’re writing with different people. We grabbed [producer] Nick Raskulinecz, and he’s very hands on and such a fan of music. It’s not a job or a gig to him.

The Korn album should be out by next fall. We have to get it out, because we want to get back to the fans next year and do our thing. We’re working hard. We’ve been through a lot. Now it’s time to get all those emotions and turn them into a positive with music. Jonathan is really good at that.”

The All-American Rejects Teasing Something Big For 2019

Could The All American Rejects be back in 2019? According to a recent tweet, it looks as if something is coming from the band later this year.

They’re not giving away much as of yet but they have a few promo photographs of each member. Something is coming, I can feel it.

Could it be something to mark the bands 20th anniversary? My money would be on that.

The Distillers To start Recording New Record In April 2019.

So, a new Distillers record is coming.

It’s been fifteen years since ‘Coral Fang’ was released but the Distillers finally come back from their long-awaited hiatus last year where they released two singles which looked as if things were leading to something new.

Frontwoman Brody Dalle confirmed they are going into the studio this April to record the long-awaited full length follow up to ‘Coral Fang’ whilst celebrating her 40th birthday.

All Time Low To “Take A Break” throughout 2019

All Time Low have had a pretty hectic few years. One record, endless touring. It’s time they had a break right? Just from everything. I don’t blame them, they probably want to reconnect with their friends and family and in today’s world, there probably isn’t much chance to do that. Anyways, in a recent interview with Kerrang!, Alex Gaskarth explains that they’re planning to unwind before they move onto the next step.

“We’re taking a bit of a break. For the last couple of records, we’ve done two-year-long cycles. With ‘Last Young Renegade’, it was winding down in the first half of 2018, but then we decided to put out ‘Birthday’ and ‘Everything Is Fine’, which revitalised that campaign and led to more dates on the calendar. That meant another six months was tacked on to what had already been a full album cycle. For us, it feels too soon to be properly thinking about the next record – I need to sleep for at least a fortnight straight! We need to figure out what’s next, and what All Time Low should be doing going forward.”
