Now that would be insane!

I’m going to keep everyone posted on this because I want to see this happen!

Capsize & Holding Absence Cancel Tour Amongst Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct

Following the allegation of sexual misconduct against one of the members of the band Capsize, the upcoming tour with Holding Absence has been cancelled. Holding Absence of the UK will be going ahead without Capsize and a replacement will be announced.

In a statement via Twitter, Capsize have said:

“We are aware of the accusation surfaced last night about the band. The member that has been called out has been removed from our line up. His statement is attached below. That being said, we are going to take some time to regroup and figure out how to move forward. Our upcoming tour is cancelled. We hope everyone finds their own peace.”

Nick, the member of Capsize facing the allegations, has also released a statement on Twitter, which you can read in full below:
“Last year, I had what I thought at the time was a consensual interaction with a woman, until I heard last night that she felt I had pressured her into sex. At first, I felt confused, because every interaction we had after the fact felt normal. After processing it for a moment, I understand that it is not my place to judge whether or not she felt pressured, and if there is any doubt in her mind then I must take her at her word. At this time, I feel that I need to reevaluate what I know about communication and consent, and I should not have a platform to perform music professionally. I’m so sorry for the pain I caused, and I know that I am not the victim here. There is no good way to apologize, but my regret is deep and real and I hope this is a learning moment for me. I will answer questions in my dm’s from friends. Believe survivors.”

Holding Absence also released a statement on the matter, confirming that Capsize will no longer be appearing on their record release tour and that a replacement will be announced.

“It is with deep regret that, following recent allegations that have surfaced about Capsize, we are forced to withdraw from our scheduled Mainland EU shows next month with the band. Furthermore, Capsize will no longer be performing alongside us in the UK this March.

We acknowledge that every person should be treated as innocent until proved guilty. However, we feel it would not be right for us to go ahead with these shows, knowing the upset these allegations have caused many of our fanbase.

As a band, we pride ourselves on our shows being a welcoming and inclusive space where people are able to enjoy our performance and interact with each other in a safe environment. We feel that continuing with the tour alongside Capsize would jeopardise this environment.

For us, this transcends music, and we feel is it necessary that we take these measures.

Our sincere apologies to anybody who will miss out on a show in Mainland Europe, but we hope you can respect and understand our decision. We will do our utmost to make it up to you as soon as we possibly can, and will announce a suitable replacement support act for the UK shows shortly.

Lucas, James, Ash, Chris & Scott”

Greta Van Fleet Cancel UK Tour

In the wake of ongoing health issues with vocalist Josh Kiszka, Greta Van Fleet have taken cancelled their upcoming UK tour.

The band also recently postponed their Australian tour due to Josh suffering from and Upper Respiratory infection.

Posting a statement to their Facebook account, Greta Van Fleet said:

“We have some sincerely unfortunate news regarding our upcoming shows February 22 – March 17 and must announce a complete reschedule to this Fall.

A year and a half of constant touring has been both invigorating and exhausting. Josh currently has a relentless upper respiratory infection that has not yet had the chance to heal. His doctor has required extended rest as the only path to full recovery. It now feels necessary for the entire band to recalibrate our balance, both physically and mentally. Rather than continuing on to more performances and exacerbate things further, we have made this decision in order to give you the full Greta Van Fleet experience when we meet again.”

The shows have been rescheduled for November-time, with exact dates for some shows still to be determined.

All tickets for the upcoming shows in the next month will transfer to the rescheduled dates, there is no need to do anything other than hold on to your current ticket to attend the rescheduled show,” the statement continues.

Refunds are available at point of purchase should you not be able to attend. We are heartbroken in sharing this setback with you and hope you can understand this painful decision. It will be extremely satisfying to reconcile this calamity by making the most of our time together in a healthier state.

For the cities that have not been assigned a date yet, we are waiting on venue availability, but will have them confirmed and announced tomorrow. Every show missed will take place, that is a promise. We are tremendously grateful for your patience.”

Bring Me The Horizon’s Lee Malia Has Scored A Film

Speaking to Music Radar, Bring Me The Horizon’s Lee Malia has announced that he wrote the score for the horror film; Pyewacket.

He said: “I’ve already scored a film! It’s a horror film called Pyewacket. It’s about a witch, and that’s the old witch’s name. It’s by a Canadian producer. On our There Is A Hell… CD there is an instrumental track, which was really soft and atmospheric, and he used that on one of his films.”

He continued “We got talking to him and he was like, ‘Well what do you think about doing my next film?’ So I did all this score for him. That’s a lot of atmospherics. There are no guitars or anything. It’s all just weird stuff. But I really enjoy it because I love watching horror films.”

It was released back in 2017 and as you can imagine, it’s one that went under the radar.
