Music Video Roundup 24/07/20

Hey everyone. First off, I have to say apologies on my end for no New Music or Music Video Roundup last week, life got in the way of things for me when I got some more hours at my regular job which added to my other responsibilities. But now, we’re back to normal with things.

But now, we’re back! Welcome back to another weekly Friday post of ten of the best recently released music videos and sometimes a little information that comes with them! They’re not all within the same genre and they’re all different in some way or another but that means that there’s a little something for everyone here but come on, let’s get down to the music (videos)!

First up this week is the Pop-Punk Songstress herself, Bronnie. Keeping herself busy down in lockdown, there’s been some shooting, editing and more which culminate in the video for ‘R U The Same’.

Heading over to Hertfordshire for The Hunna, the band have released a video for ‘I Wanna Know’, which is a track from their upcoming record, ‘I’d Rather Die Than Let You In’.

Ryan Potter (Vocals, Guitar) says:

“‘I Wanna Know’ is up there for us with one the best songs we’ve ever written, it’s high octane all the way through and doesn’t let up, it’s kind of our Motley Crüe moment on the album. we played it on tour before we’d even started recording the album from a demo we did with Feldy and it was insane every time! Its story comes from a place of extreme lust and infatuation with someone, wanting to know how they tick, what the feel, what they believe, wanting to be apart of anything they do, almost so much you could literally blow up.”

Next, heading onto a newly fresh band who’ve recently signed onto Hopeless Record, we have Point North! They’re gearing up for the release of their record, ‘Brand New Vision’ which is set to be released on August 17th 2020.

For the time being though, here’s a visual for the track, ‘Personal’.

Heading over to the heavy hitting Flordia duo, Bloodbather next, we have a new track titled as ‘Void’ which is expected to feature on the band’s yet to be announced debut record.

Kuler Millo (Vocals / Bass) says:

“‘Void’ is about fixation on a person and perceiving how good they have it. And wanting to wear their skin metaphorically and literally after observing them (stalking them) for an undisclosed period of time.”

Moving back across the pond for the latest Inklings incarnation, we have the third single off the upcoming EP, ‘Is This Who You Are?’.

Kemp comments on the track and the message below.

“‘Like It Or Not’ is about losing people. You know when you have that friend that meets someone and seems to just disappear? That feeling. This is the third single now from the EP and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ve also got some other tasty collaborations I’ve been doing with some friends coming soon too. All systems go”

How about some Welsh Pop-Punk now? You know who we’re on about! That’s the faves from Neck Deep who have released the single, ‘I Revolve (Around You)’ comeplete with the animated stylings.

This is off their upcoming record, ‘All Distortions Are Intentional’ which is set to be released on July 24th via Hopeless Records.

Ben Barlow (Vocals) has said:

“‘I Revolve (Around You)’ is a song about love on a planetary scale. It is one big metaphor, comparing love to the movement of the planets. Picturing love on that scale really makes everything else seem small and insignificant. The song comes at a point of epiphany on the record- the realisation that despite life’s trials and tribulations, love conquers all.

Musically it’s hard hitting and impactful, and actually features one of my favourite ever sections in a Neck Deep song where I got to channel my inner Tom Delonge, which for a song about space I feel is pretty fitting! It’s the first time we’ve done a full animated video and we’re so stoked on how it came out, the amazing team at Remembers in France did a beautiful job embodying the feeling of the lyrics.”

Checking into Japan for the next pick in the form of Man With A Mission. They have ‘Rock Kingdom’ for the world which is one of the new tracks from their recent greatest hits record, ‘Man With A “Best” Mission’.

The video features Tomoyasu Hotei, whom for those if you don’t know, is a legendary guitarist and he filmed his appearance from his London home who’ve said the following on the track.

“Man With A Mission and I got to collaborate on my song (‘Give It To The Universe’), and we got along so well they asked me in return to collaborate on one of their songs. I’m super excited that the song turned out to be a very powerful track! It was lonely filming the video on my own, but hopefully I’ll get to rock out with the wolves very soon!”

Moving to the band ides now. We’re eaergerly awaiting their upcoming third record, ‘Ultra Mono’, set to be released on September 25th 2020 via Partisan Records.

Frontman Joe Talbot says:

“‘A Hymn’ is a hymn that rejoices in the sinister flesh-eating virus of the pedestrian. It sings the tune of normal’s teeth sinking into your neck as you sleep stood up with your eyes open. Amen.”

Taking to Sacramento for the penultimate pick in the form of Dance Gavin Dance. They have an animated video for ‘One In A Million’, the latest cut off their recently released ‘Afterburner’ EP which sees the bull character off their album release living a stressful work life who’s then transported intot the 2D world.

And now for our final pick in the week’s video, we have the enigmatic, larger than life and utterly fantastic Yungblud.

He’s been low on the radar for the last few weeks in preparation for the first release single ‘Weird’ a few months ago. The video for the latest cut ‘Strawberry Lipstick’ is weird, wonderful and fits right into that Yungblud spectrum. Enjoy!

And that’s it for another week of a countdown of the best singles out in the world in the last week. Be sure to check back next-time for another round of great music videos.
