Today for you we have an Italian band! They are marble, a melodic metal band with female vocals! Let’s get chatting to them!
- If could introduce yourselves for us, who are you?
Hello guys, we’re marble from italy, a melodic metal band with female vocals. The lineup is
Eleonora Travaglino on Vocals, Paul Beretta and Omar Gornati on Guitars, Jacopo Marchesi on Keyboards, Norman Ceriotti on Drums, Daniel Fleba on Bass
- How did you all meet?
Marble was an idea of bass player daniel, who created with some local musicians an ensemble to play prog and power metal. Soon guitarist omar and keyboard player jacopo joined the band and paul completed the lineup as lead guitarist. There were a few changes behind the mic during the years. We published our first demo, then in 2008 our first full length A.t.G.o.d., An ep in 2010. After a forced stop we reprised the project with eleonora as new singer. We re-recorded a song from our first album for a compilation with the new lineup and began recording the new stuff for S.A.V.E.
- How long have you been playing?
Marble are operative since 2005, and we played a lot of show in Italy supporting band like Domine, Elvenking, Bejelit, Drakkar ecc.
- What three words would you use to describe the music you play?
Melodic Heavy Metal?! We’re not good at labellign!
- What are your musical influences?
If you want some known name we can say that Evergrey and Nevermore were the first, but also some band like Ocean of Slumber and Darkwater comes to mind. I think one of the interesting thing is to see or read what people think of our music genre.
- What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen during a show?
Many years ago we where invited to play in some kind of hippy camp in the north west of italy, to find out we were the only metal band present. It was weird, but funny in the end. We where the only with children of bodomo or slayer t-shirts among flowers and long skirt!
- Being away from the stages since last year, where is the one place you’d visit when the restrictions are lifted?
Probably our Rehearsal room.
- What’s the one record you own but wouldn’t ever admit to owning?
Some House Music from the 90ties
- What have you been listening in the last few weeks?
Everyone in the band has his own playlist. For me (Daniel, bass player) the last album discovered is “Imperial” by Soen
- Are there any releases you have planned in the near future?
Not planned, we have just released our album S.A.V.E. for Splitrick Records, so our focus right now is the promotion of the album, but we’re working on some new stuff!
