WYVERN Drop New Video For ‘Amnesia’

Experimental Rock/Metal outfit WYVERN have dropped a new video for their track, ‘Amnesia’.

Speaking of the video the band stated, “This music video is the result of 6 month of intensive work by Elisa Lecourtois. She’s a passionate artist and a good friend of ours, she always wanted to try animation and we thought her drawing style could really fit to a song like Amnesia. It’s a work of collaboration, Elisa did the drawing, animation, storyboard and directed the project. Aurélie, the bassist of the band, worked on all the colors and Laurent, the keyboardist, worked on special effects. We’re so happy that this project came to life and very proud to release this first animated episode of Radiations !”

“Amnesia” is a track taken from the band’s upcoming album “Radiations” due for release via Wormholedeath worldwide.

Set It Off Release New Single, ‘Who’s In Control’

Set It Off have released their new track, “Who’s In Control,”

“Who’s In Control” taps into a troubling experience that all creative minds encounter: being paralysed by an influx of fear and outside pressures. In Set It Off’s case, the ever-evolving Alternative group sings of questioning who is actually controlling their identities in the midst of expectations for artists to become musical machines. “Who’s In Control” is their third single from their upcoming record, Elsewhere, available everywhere on Friday, March 11th.

Set It Off has been exploring the theme of neon macabre in their latest releases, and “Who’s In Control” is no exception; the single screams the most like a horror movie— almost as though the listener is being chased through a house of mirrors. An unsettling shrill shocks listeners in the opening seconds, leaving them on edge as they’re hit with a suspenseful Pop-Punk sound and lyrics of being poisoned by negativity. A feeling that the band knows all too well, singer/lyricist Cody Carson relays his thoughts about negativity getting the best of him: “everyone loves feeling like they have control over their own life, their own decisions, or their overall destiny, but sometimes outside voices scream so loud at you that they shake you up and make you adjust your path.” “Who’s In Control” thus acts as the band’s acknowledgment of that fear.

Pop-Punk Team Up For Simple Plan As Deryck Whibley Of Sum 41 Guests On New Track

Simple Plan have dropped a brand new track and they’ve brought a massive name into it.

That name is Deryck Whibley.

the track is straight up classic Simple Plan in Pop-Punk excellency. It’s a bouncy track, heartfelt and ultra catchy!

The band had this to say about it and the collaboration:

“‘Ruin My Life’ is a song about overcoming adversity, going through a difficult life situation, and not only surviving it, but becoming an even stronger and more resilient version of yourself because of it,” the band shares. “It’s fun, catchy, energetic and empowering and we’re so excited to share it with our fans. Having Deryck from Sum 41 sing on it with us makes it even more special!”

Liquid State Drop New Track, ‘Static’

Bristol based quartet Liquid State have dropped a new track, ‘Static’ which is a slice of nu-metal and the rousing brutality of post-hardcore.

Keren Ashley (Vocals) had this to say about it:

“The lyrics were written about situations where people can get ‘blinded by love’, to the point that they’re constantly being lied to and manipulated but they’re totally blinded by the deception. The inability to see through to the truth; whether this being unintentional or because they don’t want to accept the truth so chose to protect themselves through naivety instead. Although my personal take on this song was written about a romantic relationship, the lyrics aren’t subjective to just an unhealthy romance. They are open to whichever scenario and whoever the listener associates the topic with most; there are many situations beyond just sexual relationships where people can fall victim to deception and manipulation.”

Hot Water Release New Track, ‘Lock Up’

Hot Water have dropped a new track off their upcoming ‘Feel The Void’ record.

‘Lock Up’ is is a haunting mix up of heartfelt lyrics and massive sing-along moments. Anthem is the word and will just tug at the heartstrings.

Vocalist/guitarist Chris Wolland had this to say about it:

“The pressure is immense to keep moving forward no matter what, so you have to develop a sort of tunnel vision and just try not to think about it. But there will be a point, no doubt about it, where you feel yourself slipping. Total exhaustion and delirium set in. I think we have all hit that wall in our band at different points. And like I said, it’s a very difficult place to be.”

‘Feel The Void’ is set to drop on March 18th 2022 via End Hit Records.

Frank Turner Achieves First Ever No.01 Record With ‘FTHC’

Last week Frank Turner dropped his new record, the absolutely wonderful ‘FTHC’.

This week it is the No.01 album in the UK.

This is Frank Turner’s first-ever chart-topping album in his career, following his previous highest placing record in the form of 2013’s ‘Tape Deck Heart’ and 2015’s ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’, which both placed at No.02. 2019’s ‘No Man’s Land’ and 2018’s ‘Be More Kind’ both peaked at No.03.

‘FTHC’ has been at the top spot with over 90% of physical sales and has also topped the Record Store Chart and Vinyl Chart.

Frank has said on the achievement:

“Getting a Number 1 album is crazy, it’s not a thing I ever thought would happen to me and it’s happened on my ninth album. That feels particularly crazy and awesome, and I’m proud of it. It feels quite fitting that, of all the records I’ve put out, this is the one that got the Number 1 trophy. I’m very proud of the record; it’s a more intense, more personal record.

“At this point in my career I have to dig deep to prove to myself and everybody else that I’ve still got a reason to be making records and making art, and this Number 1 award is a pretty good justification of that.

“I’m very painfully aware that I did not do this on my own, so it’s not just my band, label and manager; it’s everybody who picked up a copy. I’m incredibly grateful, thank you very much.”

THICK Share New Track, ‘Love You Forever’

Brooklyn DIY punk band THICK have shared their latest track ‘Love You Forever.’

It’s the first released by the band since their critically acclaimed debut album ‘5 Years Behind’ was released back in 2020. Referring to the track as their “first honest love song,” the band originally wrote the song as a gift for a friend’s wedding this past year. “It’s about unconditional love and getting through the hard times — knowing that love transcends all of life’s chapters,” adds THICK. “The song is meant to encapsulate the idea of loving your partners, your friends, and most of all loving yourself.“

Alongside the track, the band releases an upbeat music video directed by Aimee Kuge.

Instead of focusing on romantic love, we decided to go on a quest for self-love in this music video showing how transformative it can be,” shares THICK.
