Void Of Vision Announce New EP, Drop New Single

Melbourne’s Void Of Vision have cleared the darkness and are set to usher in a tantalising new chapter in their bustling journey, announcing today a brand new upcoming EP CHRONICLES II: HEAVEN which will release on Friday 29th of April, 2022 on UNFD.

Following on from the group’s 2021 EP CHRONICLES I: LUST, this impending new Void Of Vision endeavour draws its ethereal namesake from the group’s new creative direction and sense of purpose; a sonic exhibition of finding heaven on earth laden with cinematic and ambitious flair alongside Void Of Vision’s blossoming razor-sharp trademark wiles.

To mark the announcement of this upcoming new release, Void Of Vision have also today shared an opulent new single INTO THE DARK, which was co-written and co-produced by Dan Searle, aka the prolific drummer for UK metalcore icons Architects.

Vocalist Jack Bergin discussed the crucial backstory behind the brand new Void Of Vision single and its place on the upcoming EP, saying: “It’s an extremely odd feeling to describe, hearing the first few notes of your to-be magnum opus for the first time before it’s even finished. Creating this song, from go to woe, was one of the most rewarding moments of our band’s career and now presents as a crucial landmark in Void Of Vision’s timeline.

‘Into The Dark’ smashed down any pre-conceived barrier of innocence or naivety that we may have ever shown prior and propelled us into a brand new creative world where we feel more at home than ever before.”

Check out ‘Into The Dark’ below.

Paris Reschedule UK Tour Dates To 2023

Pvris have announced they have rescheduled their upcoming UK Touring dates back to 2023.

Lynn Gunn explains:

“The original Spring 2022 headline tour dates were meant to be accompanied by a brand new PVRIS album.

Due to the unlimited amount of obstacles and setbacks brought on from the pandemic along with being placed in limbo by our old label; the lack of space, lack of time, lack of budget and conflict of priorities/interest regarding the PVRIS brand and community (from them not us) proved it nearly impossible to have this album written, recorded, conceptualized, up to standard and ready for your consumption by the time of this tour.

I never want to compromise the creative quality of our music and visuals. This is something that unfortunately had to be done too many times on this past album cycle (we gave it our best despite the circumstances). I refuse to do that moving forward. PVRIS deserves better and you deserve better, as you are the sole reason we get to do what we do.

Our Spring tour will be moved to 2023. PVRIS is now free to move into this next chapter.
Thank you for your patience. Album in progress.
Let’s make this the best one yet.

See you soon.
– PVRIS”

And here are the dates:

January 2023

22nd – Academy, Manchester

23rd – Academy, Glasgow

25th – Institute, Birmingham

26th – Brixton Academy, London

Royal Blood Announces Rescheduled UK Tour Dates

A week or so ago now, UK rockers Royal Blood had to postpone the last dates of their Arena Tour due to COVID 19.

You can read the bands statement below.

“I’m heartbroken to write this, but despite being fully protected and taking precautions, I have tested positive for COVID following last night’s show at The O2 Arena.

This morning I’ve woken up to discover I have lost my voice. Unfortunately, this isn’t something I can ‘power through’, I currently cannot sign a single note. My voice is gone.

I’m absolutely gutted. We were having the time of our lives up there, and your support and passion is not taken for granted for one second.

I’m so sorry to advise that I cannot continue the tour and want to apologise for the huge disappointment and inconvenience this will cause you all. We will work as hard as we can to reschedule the shows for as soon as possible.

Mike x”

Now though, the band have rescheduled the remaining shows to everyone’s delight and they’re taking place in a few days!

Support will come from The Amazons.

April 2022

10th – OVO Hydro, Glasgow

11th – AO Arena, Manchester

12th – First Direct Arena, Leeds

Palps Announce Ambitious Eight Chapter Record, ‘Black Heart’

Essex-based rock four-piece Palps are pleased to announce the release of their debut album ‘Black Heart’ on October 7th 2022.

Since their formation in 2018, this is the group’s most ambitious work to date. The follow up to the band’s 2020 debut EP ‘Letters To You (That I’ll Never Send), Black Heart sees Palps turn their eight-track album into a harrowing eight-chapter short story which highlights the daily struggles of someone navigating their poor mental health and how it affects not only them but those around them.

Across each of the tracks’ music videos, we are introduced to four characters, the story’s protagonist Matt, plus Rose, Charlotte and the Plague Doctor. The story deepens and grows with each single release, with the room, at times tidy and decorated and at others cluttered or destroyed representing Matt’s mental state, whilst the plague doctor character represents his suicidal thoughts.

Produced, mixed and mastered with Jack Twiner at Pyramid Studios in Reading, every track on the album unravels and pieces itself back together song by song, yet somehow manages to end up someplace uglier and more uncertain than the track before.
Prior to the album’s release comes it’s next single ‘Love, Always’, the second chapter of the album’s story, due for release April 1st.  With clear post-hardcore influences, Love, Always blends expansive guitar tone backdrops, punchy drums, emotive, introspective lyrics and cathartic choruses to provide an unflinching glimpse into the mind of someone tormented by lost love.

Speaking about the album as a whole, vocalist and lyricist Alex Gray states, “Black Heart at its core is about how traumatic events and mental health struggles can leave you hardened, no longer able to express love in the same way that you used to and can often lead to you hurting those closest to you, without you even realising

Check out the track ‘Love, Always’ below.
