If could introduce yourselves for us, who are you?

Hey everyone, I’m Hywel and I am the Vocalist of the band Virtue In Vain. We are a metalcore band from Cardiff, Wales

How did you all meet?

Il started the band in its earliest forms. Soon after Emyr joined the band as the guitarist.Emyr is my brother so obvious how we know each other. As the band went on we played with other bands that contained both Dan & Mason. Over time changes happened and we all ended up in Virtue In Vain.

What three words would you use to describe the music you play?

Heavy, Passionate and Progressive

What are your musical influences?

Make Them Suffer, The Devil Wears Prada, Architects, Napoleon, For the Fallen Dreams, Crystal Lake & Currents. Plus many other bands we have played with over the many years.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen during a show?

That’s a good question, I can’t say I have seen anything too unusual. The closest is someone headbanging right next to the speaker. But I love that so I wouldn’t say it’s too weird.

Being away from the stages in the last few years, where was the first place you visited when the restrictions were lifted?

I went to see my family when I could. That was something I truly missed the most. After that it was the band and our rehearsal space. I cannot tell you the feeling of that first session back.

What’s the one record you own but wouldn’t ever admit to owning?

I am not really sure as I am quite open about what I like. I don’t own as many CD’s as I used to but probably Ocean Eyes by Owl City. I love Fireflies an unhealthy amount.
