Thomas Day Releases New Single & Video For ‘The End’

Singer-songwriter Thomas Day has returned to share his next single & video, “The End,” out on Arista Records.

“This song is definitely the most emotional I’ve released so far and this was actually the first time I’d ever cried while I was recording a song,” says Thomas. “The ending of anything is my biggest fear. I hate change, I’ll do anything to fight for keeping things the same, which is kind of hypocritical because I broke up with a girl I’m in love with. This song is a fight for everything to be ok, but even if it isn’t, knowing it will be ok in the end.”

The music video for “The End” was directed by Brenton Giesey, a Nashville-based visual artist who worked with Thomas on his last two music videos, “Wildflower” and “not my job anymore.” Thomas elaborates on the visual concept: “The water described my emotions towards the entire concept of the video, and emotionally allowed me to get into it, which I knew I needed to do with this song. It was really fun too.”

Crown The King Achieve Mastery With Pop-Punk Ballad ‘Reel To Reel’

Ireland’s most exciting emerging pop-punk band CROWN THE KING are back with new sing-along ballad ‘Reel To Reel’.

The track, which was written and recorded with producer Stephen Youster, tells the story of a friend who is dealing with emotional turmoil but is attempting to carry on as if everything is okay. As the mask slips, vocalist Daniel Gannon asks the protagonist to “Tell me how you really feel”.

“The recording process for ‘Reel To Reel’ was entirely different from every track we’ve done so far.” says drummer Jamie Doran. “We recorded in Clomantagh Castle, a 15th century castle in County Kilkenny and the space was so unique that we literally had to stomp around shouting to find the spot with the best acoustics for each part of the recording process. For drums, we ended up in a tiny landing at the top of the stairs and with a sound so loud that we used a microphone on the floor below. There was a winding stone stairway that offered some of the best natural distortion and reverb on a snare I’ve ever heard. It was a rewarding experiment in sound.”

Chasing Kites Release Latest Single, ‘Shiver’

Bath-based indie-rock four-piece Chasing Kites have recently returned with their fourth single ‘Shiver’ on November 11th 2022.

With echoes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, The Verve and The 1975, the band intertwine dynamic hooks, 80s synth textures and vivid narratives, capturing reflections on the stories of Donnelly’s youth.

Their latest single Shiver, recorded with Sam Winfield (Amber Run, Bring Me The Horizon) at Studio 91, lyrically explores the feelings of frustration and heartbreak at play when looking in on a loved one’s dysfunctional relationship.

Speaking about the writing process, vocalist and lyricist Matt Donnelly explains, ‘’Shiver came together extremely quickly. I’d had the lyrics lying around for a very long time and felt they fit perfectly with the sonic side of the track when the melody was written. As we built on the skeleton of the song, our aim was to take us back into the realms of indie rock through powerful injections of energy in the choruses, while maintaining our commercial sound throughout.’’

Check Out PLVTINUM’s New EP, ‘An Honest Account Of The More Unsavoury Aspects Of My Being’

PLVTINUM has recently unveiled his anticipated EP, ‘AN HONEST ACCOUNT OF THE MORE UNSAVORY ASPECTS OF MY BEING.’

A stylistic departure from his previous releases, ‘AN HONEST ACCOUNT OF THE MORE UNSAVORY ASPECTS OF MY BEING’ sees PLVTINUM exploring the darker aspects of his psyche. Exploding with propulsive and cinematic production, the record is not for the faint of heart. Over the course of the seven tracks, PLVTINUM takes listeners on a journey through the toxic and untamed sides of himself as a method of catharsis. “Instead of shying away from my ego problems and somewhat nihilistic tendencies, I highlight them in bold font,” he says.

ALIENBLAZE Releases New Live Track Via Sumerian Records

AlienBlaze is a 20 year old mad as hell singer/songwriter and lead guitarist crafting genre-fluid anthems resulting in a fascinating hybrid of everything from dark alternative pop, grunge and emo, to rock and electronic elements. Her dominating presence emits an angsty appeal, encouraging a sense of self-empowerment to her young audience.

In her school years, AlienBlaze spent most of her time at home through sickness, so spent hours and hours learning the electric guitar on her mum’s old guitar, wanting to play like her guitar inspirations Jerry Cantrell of Alice In Chains and Slash. Blaze’s sense of alienation from her peers is what inspired her to add the ‘alien’ part to her name as an artist.

Finding influence from artists like Billie Eilish and Ashnikko to bands such as The Cure, Alice in Chains and Bring Me The Horizon, AlienBlaze has crafted a vision which embodies the spirit of music that has inspired her whilst creating her own completely unique sound.

Having recently signed to Sumerian Records, AlienBlaze is now unveiling a live version of her most popular single to date, “Romantically Dead”. Speaking of the single, the singer shares, “It has a gothic vibe and I was thinking of it in filmic terms, if it was a soundtrack of a movie.” Full of attitude, the song showcases reverberating basslines, raucous guitars and crashing percussion, emitting an almost otherworldly, ominous atmosphere while simultaneously delivering an energetic backdrop to AlienBlaze’s echoing vocals which illuminate the entire track.

Pierce The Veil Announce Record ‘The Jaws Of Life’

Pierce The Veil  have announced their new album ‘The Jaws of Life‘ which is set to arrive February 10, 2023 via longtime label Fearless Records.

“There’s so much desperation underlying the lyrics of this song,” shares Fuentes. “It talks about a relationship where one person is ready to take things to the next level while the other is still unsure. One person is begging the other to either move forward or to let them out because being stuck in the middle is torture.”

He continues, “I wrote this song in Seattle at Mike Herrera from MXPX’s home studio. He let me live there for a couple of months while working on the record. I love writing in Seattle because it gives me all of the ’90s grunge rock vibes. Plus, it rains all the time, and I love the rain.”

As for The Jaws of Life as a whole, Fuentes says, “This album has truly brought us closer than we’ve ever been. It was extremely difficult for us to be off the road and apart for so long. We’ve never missed anything more than playing music together and never had such an strong appreciation for recording, touring, and simply being in the same room together than we do now. The Jaws of Life is about how life can sink its teeth into you and try to devour you. The negativity in the world and within your mind can be a vicious thing. We’re extremely grateful for this record, our fans, and the opportunity to play live music again.”

Cade Hoppe Releases New Single, ‘Past Time’

Following on the heels of his recent single “Faded Love,” indie-pop singer and songwriter Cade Hoppe returns on November 18th with his new track, “Past Time.”

Opening with simplistic keys before livening with glittery synths and anthemic percussion, “Past Time” is an instantly catchy track. “‘Past Time’ is about relationship nostalgia and the selective memory that comes with it—in this case, not only are you positively selective in your memory, but you’re really hoping your ex is not being negatively selective,” says Cade. “Being stuck in the past can be a dangerous drug.” Cade co-produced the track with his frequent collaborator Harper James (Eighty Ninety, James Bay, Aaron Taos).

Bentle Shares New Single, ‘Darkest Blue’

BENTLE — the project of New York-based Australian artist Josh McVey — returns today with his new single, “Darkest Blue.”

Simmering with hypnotic pop production, wavy synths and soulful vocals, “Darkest Blue” is an emotive and instantly captivating listen.

BENTLE elaborates on the inspiration behind the new song: “‘Darkest Blue’ is very much about the connection between color, texture and circumstance. There’s been a few times over the past year where it feels like I’m not able to stop myself from sinking or falling into a certain state of mind or state of being. ‘Darkest Blue’ is kind of an exploration of that falling sinking feeling and what it would feel like if I explored it…the visual I had when writing the song was that I fell into the night sky (which was scary and unknown) but I woke up in this ethereal new environment where, though it was still unknown, it was equally intriguing and enlightening.”
