Seattle Indie Punks Sun Spots Share Latest Single, ‘Butterball’

Crunchy guitars meet sugary hooks on Sun Spots new single “Gutterball,”.

The band fall into a similar vein of acts like Bully and Momma, combining nods to ‘90s alt-rock with pop sensibilities.

The video for the song follows a bowling ball on a trippy 3-D journey and you can watch it here now. “Gutterball” follows the Seattle band’s EP, Loosey, released in Fall 2022. Sun Spots will head out on a West Coast tour with Woolworm starting later this month, dates below.

Speaking on the track, the band stated:

“‘Gutterball’ is the latest chapter in Sun Spots’ pursuit to become the heaviest pop band in the world. The song is inspired by the Boss HM-2 and the eternal struggle between the desire to create art and the feelings of embarrassment and self doubt that accompany that desire.”
