Heavy hitters Code Orange have shared a brand new single from their upcoming record, ‘Underneath’, set to be released 13th March 2020 via Roadrunner Records.
On the track, ‘Swallowing The Rabbit Whole’, Jami Morgan has said:
“’Swallowing The Rabbit Whole’ is the passageway into the deep descent that is the next era of CODE ORANGE… the next piece to the puzzle of UNDERNEATH. Duality is key, not only thematically on this album, but in the continued evolution of our sound and the larger heavy music world in general. You’ve got it all figured out until you’re drowning in it.”
Of the album, he adds: “’Underneath’ is about facing the duality in ourselves as individuals and as a society in an overcrowded, overexposed, all-consuming digital nirvana. Everyone has a voice and no one’s seems to matter… plummet down the rabbit hole of your deepest fears, anxieties, and regrets to confront the monster that has been building underneath.”
You Me At Six have released their first new music of 2020, their first single since the release of ‘What’s It Like’ in 2019.
‘Our House’ is the stand-alone single which is a departure of their usual sound, in fact it’s quite a difference from their usual material.
On the track, frontman Josh Franceschi has said:
“In March 2019 we were coming back from a North American tour. I was sat talking to a Geologist who was returning from a summit in Atlanta where it was confirmed that by 2050, large parts of heavily human populated areas would be uninhabitable. He said something to me that has seemingly stuck with me, “I’ll be long gone by then, but perhaps you, your children and grandchildren will have to live the devastation left for them by previous generations.
My interpretation of this is that we are all part of the problem if we aren’t actively trying to do something to contribute to the issue of climate change.
We finished the song whilst recording in Thailand in October 2019. We were inspired to address the issue of climate change, but equally by the hope that the youth have given me. Never in my life have I seen a younger generation take to the streets to have their voices heard than on this subject. They want change, they want their futures back because our house is on fire, and we must act now.
Seeing footage of what has been happening in Australia, we felt compelled to do something to help those who are in need, both humans and wildlife. It’s for that reason we are using the most powerful tool at our disposal to help, music.
We are releasing this track as a stand alone single with all proceeds donated to the charity WIRES, who are committed to rescuing native Australian wildlife in distress.
Our hearts go out to a country that means so much to us.”
Now, I think I’m preferring this track to some chocolate but I do have a question, are there more B-sides to come? I guess we’ll find out next month as they’ve been dropping one track a month since December 2019 so, time will tell.
You have to check out this new single from Crossfaith!
‘Endorphin’ is something which is just going to absolutely destroy the audiences on their EU/ UK tour because of the vocals, the drums and the whole pace of the track. If you miss out, you will truly miss out on the atmosphere this will bring.
This is the first new music since their 2018 record, ‘Ex_Machina’ and you can check it out below.
That bass in the track though! That’s right, those long time rockers Silverstein have released a brand new track, ‘Bad Habits’, which is off their upcoming record, ‘A Beautiful Place To Drown’.
The track is fast, powerful and a total banger for 2020. One you just can’t afford not to listen to where you must get involved in the pit!
On the track, vocalist Shane Told has said:
“When we finished putting together ‘Bad Habits’ I knew it was going to be a fan favourite. This song is action-packed and just plain fun. It’s a rush of adrenaline and then Aaron from Intervals comes in shredding and just puts it over the top.”
The LA Quintet everyone can’t get enough of, ‘Spanish Love Songs’ have released a brand new track, ‘Losers 2’ which originally premiered over at Kerrang!
One thing about the track, it has it’s trademark Bass sounds which only elevates the track to their signature style where when you hear this live, will only elevate the listening experience for the entire room there.
It’s the second single off their upcoming record ‘Brave Faces Everyone’.
Check out the track below.
Brave Faces Everyone will be released 7th February 2020 via Pure Noise Records.
