Being As An Ocean have revealed that they are bringing their ‘Dear G-d’ ten-year anniversary celebrations to the UK and Europe later this year.
And they will be bringing along some special guests.
Acres & Hail The Sun will be the support on the UK touring dates.

It’s 4PM on a Friday! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. The first band on this weeks countdown are the Pop-Punk trio Junior. They’ve recently released their debut record, ‘Beautiful Life’ but before the release, they had their amazing track, ‘Brick By Brick’ in video form. Fun Fact: the track was also chosen at the NXT Lound theme for WWE NXT UK’s takeover in Cardiff which is set to take place in 31st August 2019.
Heading to Oxford for our number two pick on the roundup this week is Oxford’s MSRY who’ve recently gone from being a trio to a quartet in the form of bassist Harvey Lake adding to their ranks.
‘Still Breaks My Heart’ is a fresh cut from the group which also features guest vocals from Cancer Bats Liam Cormier.
Kial Churcher (Vocals) on the track has said:
“We played with the idea of obsession and people being too gone in it to realise what was happening around them and there being people who want to break through that barrier for them. The idea of social media being an all-consuming entity is a very real and happening thing right now, the fact people are obsessed with their presentation on social media, the extent people go to for ‘likes’ and to gain a following on them is mind blowing and can consume your entire being, vision and thought process.
I think it shows in the video that we’re trying to break through to that person who can’t see what’s around them, and it becomes harder and harder as it goes on in the video to help them see that there’s more out there than their obsession.”
Another band who’ve had their debut record out is Acres. ‘Lullaby’ was their fourth and final cut to be released before the whole thing was released.
Ben Lumber (Vocals) on the meaning behind the track has said:
“‘Lullaby’ is a song about losing someone you love prematurely. Before you get the chance to know them properly, life takes them away, leaving you with but a bittersweet memory of the short time you had together.
We all lose people we love and in those moments of great loss, the time we did have may never seem enough. Nonetheless, all we can do is be grateful for the time we were given with them and know their presence will live on, through memories, the way they have touched our hearts and the way they helped shape us as human beings.”
Shall we get some Geordie’s on this weeks list? Newcastle’s Hardcore five-some Ground Culture have a huge new single in the wake of their signing to Hopeless Records.
Vocalist Roy Watson, on the release of ‘Life Won’t Wait’ has said:
“Have you ever questioned why life doesn’t slow down? In a world of loud thinkers, silence acts as nothing but a pawn in the iris of opportunity.
He continues: “We have all chosen blind ignorance over action at times, normally not down to a lack of ability, but because true progress feeds off a constant moulding discomfort which is difficult to stand in the centre of.
“How Well Do You Really Know Yourself?”
More British metal on this weeks list! This time its Harbinger. They recently played at the 2019 Bloodstock Open Air Festival wherein preparation, they had a video released for ‘Descendants’.
The video itself compromised of footage from the band’s appearance at this years Tech-Fest in July.
Next, Rising Duo Black Futures have shown what they’re capable of in ‘Body & Soul’. It’s the latest video to come off their upcoming release, ‘Never Not Nothing’.
On the track, they commented:
“‘Body & Soul’ is a simple, singular expression. We are all the same cocktail of matter squished together to form a body. A vessel for experience and feelings. It’s time to free yourself from the shackles of conformity.
Drain your brain of hyper-capitalist smug and become steward of all life! An empathy machine! Humans; the protectors of existence! Gather as a mass of humanity and have an apocalypse prevention party! Giving the meaningless meaning! I am you and you are me! Make Weird & Live Free!
Or summink like that! At least that’s what Joe Strummer told me in my dreams.”
Moving to the Glam Rock world (which I don’t know if it is a first but I’ll go ahead and say it is) is The Darkness. They have a new record, ‘Easter Is Cancelled’ which is set to be released on 4th October 2019 which will see them on a huge tour in support of the record. Let’s dive into the video.
Is the entertainment industry toxic? That’s just what iDKHOW are asking in their latest video released for ‘Social Climb’ as it shows both members Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman in a party of the living dead.
Weekes on the inspiration behind the track has said:
“’Social Climb’ is about my experiences living in L.A. for almost a decade, orbiting this world of celebrity and money… The parties that must be attended, the behaviors that must be adopted, and just not feeling part of that sphere. It’s what it feels like to be alone in a crowded room.”
Moving to one of the most exciting UK prospects in recent years is The Amazons. They’ve released a new single off their record ‘Future Dust’ ahead of their set at this years Leeds & Reading Festivals which started today!
Matt (Vocals) has said:
“I wrote 25 two months before I turned 25, to try to work out where I am in life. The song mimics the confusion that I constantly feel, that everyone my age feels. Are we all narcissists or are we really switched on?”
And I’ve saved the best track and video for last!
Slipknot are all anyone’s talking about in the Metal world at the moment and ahead of their upcoming Sixth studio record, the legends that they are have released a second single from the record. ‘Solway Firth’ is the name and our final pick in this week’s Music Video Roundup! Check it out below.

They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. Up first are the Michigan based metalcore group Famous Last Words, who’ve released ‘The Game’ which is off their upcoming EP, ‘Arizona’.
Next, we’ll switch things up for Greta Van Fleet, we’ve released a live video for ‘Highway Tune’. It’s a track which was their first single off their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising.
Moving to Coventry, we have Scream Blue Murder who’ve recently released a video for their anthem ‘Rock Bottom’ a track off their soon-to-be-released record where a character faces the tribulations of feel at rock bottom, with vocalist Aaron Bloomer walking in the streets as well.
Keeping in England for the next choice of band, we have metal newcomers Villainous who’re making waves up and down the country while giving a good impression from their self-titled EP last year and to top things off, they have a brand new video of ‘Obsolete’ which is off the aforementioned EP.
How about a masked duo for the next video? That sounds good, right? Well, the Bunny The Bear is something different for a lot of people but they’re definitely going to turn a few heads in their video for ‘Visions’ which you can view right below this.
It wasn’t until a few months ago that Alexisonfire released their titular comeback track ‘Familiar Drugs’ which was their first track in about nine years! Finally, there are some visuals to go with that track now as you can see right here.
Spanish Love Songs, the fantastic up and comers have been making some huge waves as of late. In the UK their upcoming short run of shows has two already sold out. Their debut record ‘Schmaltz’ was released last year but they’re already teasing the next chapter of the band as they’ve just signed with Pure Noise Records as well! Check out their track for ‘Losers’ below.
Following on from Danny Worsnop’s country vibes, his adventure is coming soon as his follow-up to ‘The Long Road Home’, ‘Shades Of Blue’ is going to be released next month! May 10th to be exact. Until then, he has an exciting new video in the form of ‘Best Bad Habit’ for all of us to enjoy.
Things have been moving the Post-Hardcore world of Acres. They’re nearing to the release date of their debut record ‘Lonely World’ but have a taste for what’s to come for everyone. And for those who want a taste of the live experience, the band will be supporting Casey on their final run of the UK and Europe. Check out ‘Talking In Your Sleep’ below.
And for the last video on the list, I always go for a favourite band but if I did that, Spanish Love Songs probably would’ve taken that spot. No, that’s not what I’ve done this week. I’ve gone for the most exciting and possibly confusing video for the last spot on the countdown. This is ‘Anxiety’ by Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.

Heyyyyyy. Sorry there wasn’t a post last week. I was in a massive work overdrive for my final hand in! Yes I did say final so hopefully, everything’s going to be back to normal ASAP!
We’re going to kick things off with a little bit of With Confidence and their video for “Moving Boxes”. This is coming off their newest record, Love And Loathing which was one of my favourite releases of 2018 thus far.
Now, Woes are one of my favourite new bands at the moment where they just instantly grabbed my attention. I’ve seen them twice so far this year and will see them when they support State Champs in the coming months which I can’t wait for! For now though, things are getting aesthetically pleasing in their brand new single for ‘Over it’.
Now for a little bit of Yorkshire Pop-Punk. And that’s something you don’t hear about often. Check out their latest offering in Can’t Say I’ll Miss You.
Moving on, Blackpool based band Boston Manor are gearing up for their new record release in ‘Welcome To The Neighbourhood’ which is set to be released via Pure Noise Records on September 7th. for now though, here’s their latest release in the form of ‘Bad Machine’.
For the next video we’re off to the South Coast. Up and Comers Acres have shared a new video for their amazing track, ‘Medicine’ where the writing of the lyrics for this was a cathartic process for vocalist Ben Lumber.
With Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend, Harrogate hardcore outfit Blood Youth shared the beginning of the latest chapter with their brand new song ‘Starve’. It’s their first material released since last year’s debut record ‘Beyond Repair’ and the first since introducing Matt Hollison into the fold as their full-time bassist. Check out Starve below.
Now as a solo act, William Ryan Key has been pursuing a solo career which is paying off well with the release of his debut EP, ‘Thirteen’. Taken from footage on the road, he has compiled them into the following video for ‘Old Company’.
Recently, Post-Harcore New Yorkers Glassjaw wrapped my a main stage slot at this year’s ArcTanGent festival and to top things off, they have dropped a video which comes from their acclaimed record, ‘Material Control’. Check out ‘My Conscience Weighs A Ton’ below.
And another band that are gearing up for a new record release is Pop-Punker’s WSTR. Identity Crisis is being released on the 31st of August but we’ve been given another look at what’s to offer with the video for ‘Crisis’.
We’ll go Post-Hardcore for the last video on this list. With Hands Like Houses, they’ve gone down a much more rock direction with the track for ‘Monster’. It’s the second single to come from their upcoming fourth record, ‘-Anon’ and is accompanied by a retro horror film feel.

Hello, I know this post is coming a little late (4 Days) but that’s because I was away in Newcastle and otherwise preoccupied at the weekend and away from a computer screen. Although, it’s here now so let’s get on with these next ten music videos.
Up first are up and comers from Scotland, Divide who have had to change their name recently but this video for ‘Last Words’ comes off their recently released EP, Embers.
Speaking on the track, ‘Last Words’, vocalist Nicole Mason said: ‘Last Words’ was inspired by a book called ‘The Lovely Bones’. The idea was to write a song from from the prospective of someone who has had their life taken from them, that really sparked something in me. To give them a voice, to give people who are lost in life the message that it’s okay to feel that way but you need to keep fighting.
I loved making this music video. We had our good friend Kitsch Me Vintage (Stylist & Make Up) on-board. I wanted to show people that there is beauty even in the darkest parts of this world. It’s okay to be different.”
Next, with their newest record ‘Underworld’ out in less than a month, Tonight Alive have recently dropped a new track off the forthcoming record; Crack My Heart. On the meaning behind this one, Jenna has said: “The concept of cracking the heart is to allow the precious, vulnerable self to come through and be free. The painful, yet liberating experience involves the emotional and energetic decalcification of the hardened heart.
This next band has just recently released their new EP, ‘Sunday Brunch’ and Chapel have served their own spot of brunch in this video for Don’t You Love Me.
Let’s take things a little heavier for this next track. Sheffield rockers Rolo Tomassi have just dropped a video to accompany a track off their soon to be released fifth LP, ‘Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It’. They’re away supporting TheNumber 12 Looks Like You in America for the first time ever. But in the meantime, here’s their newest video for Balancing The Dark.
Next month, the Yorkshire rockers Marmozets will release their second record, ‘Knowing What You Know Now’ which will be the follow up to ‘The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets’, released in 2014. For now though, here’s their latest video for Major System Error.
More from British Rock, this time it’s Black Foxxes who have a very busy 2018 ahead of them. They’ve recently released details of a new record, headline tour and their video for the brilliant, Sæla.
South Coasters Acres just debuted a video for their new track, ‘Unwelcome’, which was shot and directed by Zak Punchin (Modern Error Vocalist). This is their first material since the band’s EP, In Sickness & Health which was released earlier this year.
Next up is Sci-Fi brilliance from Our Last Night. This is taken from their latest release ‘Selective Hearing’ which is out now.
Penultimate track time. This is from Legends of Pop-Punk; New Found Glory. This track celebrates their 20th anniversary of the band with the video compiling of archived footage from across their career.
And the last video of the day is a live video. It’s from the new live album, ‘One More Light Live’ and it’s nothing ut beautiful. Check out Sharp Edges Below.
