Lynn Gunn of Pvris has recently spoken to Channel 4 in England about her experiences of coming out, dealing with the dark times in her life and making gigs a safer place.
Speaking to Channel 4, she said, “I hope in me doing that, I can inspire other people to kind of accept what they’re going through, and realise even if it is something negative or really dark, it’s really beautiful and it is important to go through.”
On safer gigs, she said that “Concerts can be a not very safe place, depending on… I think a lot of this depends on what the artist is putting out, and just what kind of energy they’re expelling in general.”
It’s only three weeks until the release of Pvris’s second record, All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell and now the UK better be excited because the band have announced they’re doing a signing at HMV Oxford Street in London!
It’s only around three weeks until Pvris’s new album, All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell but that hasn’t stopped the band giving fans more music from the record.
So it’s just less than a month (August 4th) until we see Pvris’s second studio album, All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell but that hasn’t stopped them releasing a new single for all of us!
Lynn Gunn has written a letter on behalf of Pride Month to the LGBTQ Community.
To Billboard, she wrote:
“I came out to my parents when I was 18 years old. I left a letter under my mother’s pillow, gave her a kiss goodbye and then embarked on my first tour ever.
“I remember sitting in the back of a van headed to the abyss of the open road, fearing for my life. Ever since, my time has been swept up by life on the road performing with my band as an openly gay front woman.
“At the time, I never realized how impactful something as simple as being my authentic self and true to my heart would be for thousands of others out there.”
“Over the past few years it’s been the most powerful and humbling experience to watch the PVRIS fanbase become such a safe place for people of the LGBTQ community.
“We have witnessed countless proposals, been a part of coming-outs, read hundreds of letters and have heard so many incredible stories.
“Thank you for all the love, support and courage you have all given to me to be myself on this journey thus far, and thank you for the love, support and courage you have given yourselves and others around you.
“I want nothing more than for you all to feel the utmost love and freedom in being yourselves. You are all exceptionally magic.”
Pvris’s upcoming album ‘All We Know Of Heaven, All We Need Of Hell’ is set to be released August 4th with Rise Records.
Here’s the latest taste of the album in the form of ‘What’s Wrong’.
