Arch Enemy are back with another new track, and this one is amazing!!!
‘House Of Mirrors’ is more melodic and unique, but it’s no less bludgeoning and brash than the rest of their back catalogue. Big solos, driving drums and vocals ready-made for the highest of mountains, it’s a crushing way to see out 2021.
Michael Amott (Guitar) had this to say:
“Musically, this is an idea that has been bouncing around in my head for a while, and finally it got finished. It all started with the guitar motif that kicks off the track, which naturally leads to the galloping 80’s-metal feel of the verses. As is always the case with us, we had quite a few different arrangements and demos of this song until it was, dare I say, fckn perfect!”
And Alissa White-Gluz (Vocals) added:
“‘House of Mirrors’ is a song that twists its way into the human psyche. I wrote the lyrics during a dark time of strict, dystopian lockdown, and I think people will be able to relate to that feeling of being totally alone – but never truly alone – when you are surrounded only by past and future versions of yourself as company.”
Behemoth and Arch Enemy have announced that they are joining together for a co-headlining tour of the UK and Ireland in Autumn 2021.
They will play five dates at the end of September / Early October 2021. The shows will be Behemoth’s first to played in the UK since supporting Slipknot earlier in 2020 and Arch Enemy’s first since touring with Amon Amarth in 2019.
“After more than a year’s break from live music, we can think of no better homecoming to our beloved Legions than delivering to you a performance of new music and an event for the ages,” says Behemoth mainman Nergal. “The European Siege [is] a crushing combination of Carcass, Arch Enemy, and Behemoth. We also proudly present the uniquely brilliant, Unto Others who will warmly welcome you to this night of metal magic!”
“As we’ve been going through these troubled and challenging times lately, I think we all need something to look forward to. A reason to believe, right? Well.. this is it!” adds Arch Enemy’s Michael Amott, who coincidentally also played with Carcass for a time.
