Drummer JP Cappelletty was hospitalised after reportedly being “robbed, assaulted and hit by a car” according to TMZ.
MGK’s long-term sticksman – who goes by the name Rook – shared a few photos on his Instagram Stories after the incident, posting a selfie with MGK as well as a photo in a hospital bed with the caption, “Don’t worry I’ll bounce back.”
It was reported that the 27-year-old was in the Hollywood Hills when the attack happened, with the drummer walking down the street on Tuesday evening when “two guys jumped out of a vehicle to rob him”.
The publication’s enforcement sources told TMZ that “there was a physical altercation, and Rook had thousands of dollars worth of property stolen from him. We’re told at some point, he was also hit by a car, which injured his foot and arm.” The attackers reportedly fled the scene.
Everyone at Almost Anything Music wish Rook a speedy recovery.
