It appears the metalcore trio have completed recording their upcming ninth full length record, which will be the follow up to their 2019 effort, ‘Villain’.
Chris “Fronz” Fronzak (Vocals) shared the news via Twitter confirming the record is complete!
Attila have announced they have parted ways with their drummer, Bryan McClure following the allegations of sexual misconduct which have surfaced online.
McClure Joined in 2017 shortly after their former drummer Sean Heenan was removed from the band.
The band confirm via a statement the band have removed McClure where they refer to him as being a “touring member” and that they “do not condone his actions”.
“Over the last 4 years, Attila has been a three piece band. We were absolutely disgusted to learn of some recent events surrounding a touring member of the band, and earlier this week we parted ways with that member. We do not condone his actions, and we stand with the victims. We are deeply sorry to those affected and want nothing more than love and healing for them. – Fronz, Chris, & Kalan.”
The Allegations came to light initially via Twitter, from a user who describes the alleged abuse and assault.
It’s taken me two years to want to do this. I’m here to come clean about my abuse and assault by Bryan McClure the drummer of Attila. pic.twitter.com/rmFxefCx9S
A few days later, another alleged victim came forward again via Twitter, where they claim they were underage at the time the allegations began.
Back in 2017 i met attila. i was 16. i began talking to Bryan. attila was one of my favorite bands and i was just ecstatic to have someone i admired give me attention. i was 17 when he first asked me for nudes. i’ve heard allegations about fronz and i know how manipulative 1/?
that band is. they have no regard for age or soberity when it comes to women consenting. below i’ve posted screenshots. last time i called out Bryan was for making ableist comments on my snapchat and i was immediately shut down. i won’t let it happen again.
the last photo shows it was sent in 2018. i was 17 and that was bryan’s 21st birthday. our text exchanges went on for over a year. pic.twitter.com/0Rom0caSou
I’ve pushed aside how i felt for a long time about this because i’m so small compared to them i felt powerless. i tried to be his friend. but now that i see other girls are being harmed i can’t be quiet any longer. Bryan sexually manipulated me at 16-17 and will do it to others.
here’s a brief DM i sent explaining what had happened. Bryan would offer me drinks such as jameson when i was on their bus then he would kiss and grope me. i was 17. i was manipulated to not say anything for fear of my reputation. BRYAN IS A PEDOPHILE! pic.twitter.com/y4NXvsjefJ
Hello everyone and welcome back! It’s time for another week of the best new tracks that have recently been released, all in good order of epicness. I do apologise this is coming a few hours late in the day, there’s been a few things I’ve been pre-occupied with this week. There’s also going to be no Music Video Roundup post this week just as a change. Don’t forget, this post covers a range of genres so there’s a little something for everyone!
The first band up this week are the infectious Chapel.
This track follows on from their track ‘Friends’ from last year and this one, ‘Mushy Gushy’ is an ode to the feeling in your stomach when you look at someone you love.
We’re heading off to Poland for the masters of metal Bohemoth. This is off their brand new EP ‘A Forest’ which dropped today via Nuclear Blast Records.
On the track, ‘Evoe’, Nergal (Guitar / Vocals) has said:
“‘Evoe’ and ‘Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha’ are two brand-new, unheard songs that continue on from where ‘I Loved You At Your Darkest’ left off. We’re fortunate enough to have had more than enough music for the record which afforded us this transitional EP release as we move towards our new offerings. These songs may be b-sides but they’re really strong and fresh! At the very least, we hope it gives you Legions something to distract yourself from the monotony of our collective situation. Enjoy!”
To the states for the next choice in this weeks New Tracks post! Keeping things heavy for the metalcore outfit Attila who have a new single out in the form of their latest single, ‘Cancelled’.
This is the first material since the release of last years’ ‘Villain’.
How about some newcomers to the scene? We have the glorious Forlorn who’ve recently inked a deal with Silent Cut. This is the debut release as part of the label and the first tracks since they introduced themselves to everyone in the world.
Now we’re at the final track of the week!
This is a team up of two massive bands where each of the bands haev released a version of one of their tracks with the other band’s vocalists delivering the lyrics. The two bands in question for this are We Came As Romans and Fit For A King.
This means we have Ryan Kirby on vocals for this one!
And that’s it for another week of a countdown of the best singles out in the world in the last week. Be sure to check back next week for another round of great singles. If you have any suggestions for me to check out, be sure to send an email or message us via the socials on Facebook or Twitter!
It’s Friday at 4PM! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. Up first is the Massachusetts Metalcore faves, Unearth. This track, ‘No Reprisal’ is the latest track from their seventh studio record, ‘Extinction(s)’ which features a compilation of footage from their recent shows.
We’ll go across the pond for the next band and we’ll switch up the genre as well. Hardcore newcomers Modern Error debut EP was released a few weeks ago and they had one track to put to video to celebrate the release which vocalist Zak Pinchin spoke about.
‘Self Synthetic’ is about a false sense of self breading down barriers and taking over your whole reality, and you’re just struggling to keep your true self alive.”
Check out the video below.
We’re going all over the world for this weeks video roundup. Just imagine how many miles it would take to travel to all of them! Next up we have Punk Rockers from Toronto, Ontario. This can only be Pup who’ve gotten 250 fans involved via covers and interpretations for their video for an unreleased track, ‘Free At Last’.
Right, after their massive Brixton Academy show in December 2018, Deaf Havana announced they were actually recording the show for a live DVD! It actually dropped today but here is a taste of what there when in a live video for ‘Hell’.
Time for something from a more recent record. The metalcore monsters Attila self-released their latest album, ‘Villain’ and they had to show what they do to celebrate, they made the video for the title track to show how hard they party.
Moving back to some British bands, the up and coming Metalcore group Sworn Amongst have recently announced they’re the latest signee’s to LA label, Famined Records. They did have a surprise on top of this announcement in the form of their new track ‘Believe’.
This next track and video come fresh from tech metal foursome Ursus. Speaking on this, vocalist Joe Grimes has said: “The concept and title Totem’ refers to a place where bodies would be stored before the ground became soft enough to dig, because of very cold temperatures; this was referred to as a “Totem house”. The lyrical content of the song is based around the story of a person being buried alive whilst their loved ones mourn, unaware they’re still alive and going through the most horrific and slow death.”
Moving across to Belgium, we have Brutus. This is the second track from their soon to be released record, ‘Nest’. Speaking about this particular track the band have said: [The track is about] doubts. You just try so hard to just keep going and doing the best you can. But in fact, sometimes you only get shit in return. People don’t always backup the choices you’re making. The aggression in the high guitar notes resemble the irritation we felt towards everyone who was not driving along with us. In the second, compelling part we are asking them to give us time, so we can process what they’re saying.”
Penultimately today we’re going to Denver of all places. The Anchor’s upcoming record is a follow-up to their 2016 debut, ‘A World Ahead’ but until then, we have the latest cut from the record, ‘Revive’.
Time for the last video and indeed I wanted to actually save my favourite and in my opinion the best track for last! This is Energetic, Weird and Different. Three words I’d use to describe Scottish aces Vukovi. The twosomes legions of fans hopefully won’t have to wait too long to hear when their upcoming record will be released but they’ve got plenty of chances to see them perform when they support Set It Off and on their huge headlining UK tour. for now though, here’s the latest taste of just what the band can do in the form of ‘C.L.A.U.D.I.A’.
And that’s it for another week of music video roundup. Don’t forget to check back next week at 4PM sharp for another countdown of ten of the best recent music videos to feast your eyes upon. There’s also new posts every day on the Almost anything Media so be sure to check out anything that might catch your eye.
There’s a war of words which has been reignited in the world of rock.
This comes as Senses Fail (namely Buddy Nielsen, their vocalist) and Attila (namely Chris Fronzack, their vocalist) have hit back at each other.
This comes via Twitter following a tweet from a friend of the members of Attila whom mention Senses Fail and then the band decided to respond, refuelling the fire.
I have a daughter and if she ever looks this up I want her to be proud that her Dad called out a trash band and trash people like Attila. Thanks for helping me remember. I forgot about how gross your bois are. https://t.co/xa25UBbF1p
We never accused them of rape. We accused them of being morons and using the word faggot. Stop spreading bullshit. Also this was like so long ago. Is Atilla even a band anymore? https://t.co/QZvzin0iu7
Sometime after, the tweets from Senses Fail did reach Attila’s Chris Fronzack, who tweeted the following.
Lolololol the real question is how is Senses Fail still a band? They literally played for 10 people a day on Warped Tour does anybody actually give a fuck to hear a grown man whine and cry on stage? https://t.co/kpeM3TGeAq
I loved senses fail growing up. I listened to them a shitload when I was 12. Then we toured together. Buddy was upset about my lyrics and wanted to meet me which I gladly did. We had a great conversation and hugged. Then he started talking shit about me on stage for a whole tour. https://t.co/MgoG1rTtE7
Attila is currently in the middle for their Rage Fest Tour across North America but Attila frontman Fronz is in the middle of things again.
In some fan-shot video footage that’s been posted, Fronz paces across the stage shouting into his microphone saying, “Fuck your shit. Fuck this shit. We’re never playing Vegas again. You lost this shit ’cause of your bullshit security motherfuckers.”
The frontman steps forward and punches one of the security staff in the back of the head and later throws a microphone stand into their direction, leading to the band’s headline set being cut short.
So sorry we had to cancel the show….. you guys were the best crowd. Your security was total pieces of shit hurting our fans and disrespecting them. I don’t stand for that shit….. I will FIGHT for our fucking fans.
Man I wish y’all could see everything I saw from my point of view. Of course the videos only show me after I fucking snapped. The videos don’t show these abusive motherfuckers that were choking my fans and powerslamming them into the concrete….
The security company hired by the venue for the evening was Contemporary Services Corporation and their Nevada Vice President Jay Purvis spoke with News 3 saying: “They were all professional in performing their duties for our client, Hard Rock.”
Hard Rock have issued the following statement.
“The safety and security of our fans, staff and performers is our top priority. We are disappointed in the escalation of events at the Attila show last night. While we believe security acted in an appropriate way to protect the best interests of guests, we are reviewing the incident to ensure proper protocol was followed.”
Having just wrapped up a few shows in Asia, which includes their first ever Singapore shows, metalcore unit Attila have announced they’re making their way back to the UK for a co-headline run tour with Eskimo Callboy in October.
The shows will be Attila’s first since they left Sharptone Records and became independent artists.
And we’re back, this time on time! That’s right, it’s time for another round of music videos every Friday. This is what happens on this list. I search for some of the latest and greatest videos for your viewing pleasure from all over the place. Kicking us off on this week’s list is Eva Plays Dead. We’ve missed this band on the scene in the UK but have no fear as the female-fronted foursome are well and truly back with their video for ‘Get Back. The band are currently crowdfunding an EP release so have your ears peeled for new music in the near future.
Next, we go the band Atilla. They’ve just left their label, SharpTone to go independent and now have recently released their second single since doing so. Check out the video for ‘Blackout’ below.
Now, going with the release of their new EP, ‘Lifestyle’, their first release since their 2013 record, ‘Nation’ and now London hardcore group TRC have dropped a video for their newest single, ‘London’s Greatest Love Story, Part II’. (Bit of a mouthful that one isn’t it? but be sure to check it out below.
Going to the Easter theme, it’s a time when people buy a ton of chocolate or wait…. that’s just passed. Anyways, this video is from Manchester heavy hitters Heritage with their new track ‘Born Again(st).
Now, Queens Of The Stone Age are getting ready for their biggest UK show to date later this summer in Finsbury Park, but it hasn’t stopped them from releasing their latest video for ‘Head Like A Haunted House’.
Now, I love our British bands. This next video is from rising metalcore group Shields as the band will be releasing their debut full-length record, ‘Life In Exile’ next month and ahead of the release they’ve dedicated the next video as well as the track to George Christie, the band’s guitarist who tragically took his own life earlier this year.
Now we go to Ohio for our next band in the form of Hawthorne Heights. They’re gearing up to release their new record, ‘Bad Frequencies’, their first record in half a decade and now they’ve debuted their single, ‘Just Another Ghost’ which you can watch below.
Underoath’s new record ‘Erase Me’ just dropped today but the track in question is called Rapture. It dropped last week in music video form and it’s just amazing to watch!
Now, this legend in the field is currently touring his tenth record, ‘Say10’ with a co-headlining run with Rob Zombie coming this summer in America but it still hasn’t stopped Marilyn Manson releasing a new video for ‘Tattooed In Reverse’ from his latest record.
Now I’ve saved the best for last. The other week, Panic! At The Disco dropped not one but two tracks. I’m only giving you the one, ‘Say Amen (Saturday Night) because it’s bloody, it pacing is fantastic and is a great spectacle to enjoy! This also acts as the first single for their upcoming record, ‘Pray For The Wicked’ available to buy from June 22nd later this year. Check out the video below.
And that’s it for another round of music video’s this week! We’ve had absolutely fantastic picks this week and I can’t wait to feat my eyes and ears on what’s to come next week.
