Blood Command Release New Single, ‘Losing Faith’

Blood Command have announced their brand-new single ‘Losing Faith’.  The track opens up a slightly new twist from Blood Command’s distinct rock sound. The song still encapsulates the band’s self-proclaimed ‘Death Pop’ style but with an acoustic ballad about the shame and grief that comes with unrequited love.  Proving they are one of the most interesting and forward-thinking bands in the alternative world.

“When I met Yngve, we just clicked right away.” says lead singer Nikki Brumen.  “I could really relate to Yngve’s lyric and the first night we sat down and wrote together was one of the best nights of my life.  Writing felt seamless and what made this extra special is that we had both never written with anyone else.  We sat in a hotel in the middle of London with a bottle of whiskey and Yngve explained how he wanted to write about someone denying their love but as the song progresses, it’s revealed how the person really feels. He had heard a sad cowboy song with a similar message, so we wanted to really hone in on that sound.

When we were writing, we had also discussed ways to add dynamic to the new songs we were creating, and I think this song does this perfectly, with Yngve’s vocal throughout the whole song. Our voices work perfectly together and it gives it even more of a sad country feel with the duet.”

Blood Command Release New Video For ‘The End Is Her’

Blood Command have released a new video for ‘The End is Her’.

The track features the bands new vocalist Nikki Brumen(ex-Pagan), where they will perform their debut show with the band at Oslo’s Vulkan Arena on 16th December.

Nikki comments: “Finally, being in Norway has exceeded any expectation that I ever had. I knew it would be a life changing and surreal experience but I never imagined my time here would be this incredible. The moment that I stepped off the plane (after 26 hours in transit!) I instantly felt at home. When I saw Yngve waiting at the arrival gate, I burst into tears, it was so overwhelming to meet someone after almost two years of working on the band from opposite sides of the globe, and for him to be even cooler than I could have imagined.

“I have been blown away and so grateful by how welcoming everyone has been, especially my band mates, who are all the nicest and most funny people. We have been working our asses off to make sure our first show is going to blow people’s minds! Being on stage is where we all belong and I have so much love for Blood Command’s music, that I will put everything I have into our live shows. Having waited this long to play live together, and having been separated for so long, has given us all even more drive to make this show the best live Blood Command performance ever!”

Nikki Brumen (Ex-Pagan) Announced As Blood Command’s New Vocalist

Deathpop outfit Blood Command have finally announced their new vocalist, Nikki Brumen, former frontwoman for Pagan.

Brumen replaces the bands former vocalist Karina Ljone, who stepped down from the group last year

The band say on Brumen’s addition:

“We are absolutely stoked to finally reveal your High Priestess, Queen and New Leader – Nikki Brumen. Our brand new single, ‘A Villain’s Monologue’, is streaming on all platforms NOW! Watch/Listen and let us lead you to the end of the World. Welcome to the new era of Blood Command.”

Brumen also comments:

“I am so incredibly proud to announce that I am the new vocalist for one of my favourite bands in the universe, Blood Command.

I first heard this band several years ago and thought “They sound like a pop version of Pagan!” Then I realised they were from my favourite city in the world, Bergen. When they asked me to join, I accepted without hesitation, the stars had aligned. Our first track ‘A Villain’s Monologue’ is out today. We are so very stoked on it and it’s only a taste of what’s to come.

Special props to my boy Callan Orr for recording my vox over here while the rest of the band is on the other side of the world. But most special thanks to my BFF/guitarist/producer Yngve Andersen for believing in me (and for liking my old band enough that you wanted me to front yours lol) WELCOME TO THE BLOOD COMMAND CVLT.”

The band have release their new track, ‘A Villain’s Monologue’, which you can stream and listen to below.
