It’s 4PM on a Friday! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. First up are Hopeless Records new emo-rapper Dying In Designer. Apparently, he’s reminiscent of Blink-182 crossed with nothing, nowhere. I’ll leave that for you to decide.
Late last year, Steve Aoki had a track released with Blink-182 (we’re getting those band mentions in this week aren’t we?) and he teased everyone that a video was coming but ultimately, that came to nothing. But now, the video has surfaced! You’re welcome world!
The Pop-Punkers Seaway are just on the rise at the moment, and have a compilation record of sorts full of b-sides and other tracks out soon but, recently they released a huge new track titled as ‘Pleasures’. It’s one you’ll certainly remember and hopefully, that’ll be because of the video as well.
Moving to New Jersey next, the Post-Hardcore up and comers Vanish have recently released their debut record, ‘Familiar Faces’ earlier this month but they had one final cut from the record ‘Under Water // On Fire’ before everything got released.
Coming straight back to the UK for this next choice, Lincoln metallers Borders have their second taste for their debut record, ‘Purify’ which is a track about corruption. Let’s dive into ‘War’.
We had one I Prevail video last week, but they’re getting the word out for their new record, ‘Trauma’ through their haunting music videos. This time, it’s for the track ‘Paranoid’ which has a surgery theme and WARNING…. it’s not for the squeamish.
This next band are known for their intense music. That’s not a great clue but I’ll just tell you. Having just recently released, ‘Uterine Industrialisation’ Venom Prison has just recently debuted a brand new video for ‘Asura’s Realm’, their second cut from their latest record. The visuals though? It’s in their style.
Recently Grayscaled released a new music video for their track ‘If I Ever See You Again’, but they also revealed that their drummer, Nick Veno left the band. They should’ve waited until April Fools Day with this one because actually, it was just a massive joke by the band! It’s an intriguing set up though and makes for one hell of a video as Veno fights his way back into the band.
For the penultimate video, we’re going for a live video. Architects performed at Germany’s Sporthalle last month and before they go across the pond to take Holy Hell to new heights, I suppose they wanted to reflect in the form of a live version of ‘Royal Beggars’. Check it out below.
Lastly, we’ve got a band I personally chose to close out the list. Now, this band is possibly British heavy hitting at their finest. “Harsh Truth’ is all about the difficult but necessary talking point of suicide for Employed To Serve which is directly from the band’s upcoming third record, ‘Eternal Forward Motion’.
On the track, vocalist Justine Jones has said: Lyrically, ‘Harsh Truth’ is an anthem for the ill represented masses who are struggling behind the veil of positive social media posts. The world is a better place with you in it, so please seek help as it’s always there.”
And that’s it for another week of music video roundup. Don’t forget to check back next week at 4PM sharp for another countdown of ten of the best recent music videos to feast your eyes upon. There’s also new posts every day on the Almost anything Media so be sure to check out anything that might catch your eye.
