Conjurer Announces New Record, ‘PÁTHOS’

Conjurer have announced their highly-anticipated new record. ‘Páthos’ will be released on July 01 via Nuclear Blast.

Bassist Conor Marshall had this to say about the announcement:

“Excited to finally be able to share the album with everyone! I’m sure this is the same for every band trying to release an album during the pandemic but it feels like we’ve been holding on to it for so long, so it’s nice for it to not be my problem anymore and to be able to actually talk about it!”

Guitarist/vocalist Dan Nightingale on the track ‘It Dwells:

“I think ‘It Dwells’ is a good introduction to the sound of the record, from the musical influences to the lyrics and how we’ve drawn from what’s been going on in our lives, it’s one of our most personal outings for sure. It’s nice to have been able to step up our game with the music videos for this album as well. Good album. Top track. Boss man.”

The artwork looks like this:

01. It Dwells
02. Rot
03. All You Will Remember
04. Basilisk
05. Those Years, Condemned
06. Suffer Alone
07. In Your Wake

Conjurer Release New Video For ‘Thankless’

Conjurer have dropped a new video for ‘Thankless’.

It features a number of live clips in order to tease what’s to come, and it’s a track from the band’s debut album ‘Mire’, which released back in 2018.

The band say: “We are so thankful to have ‘Thankless’ back online – this video catalogues a band starting to come into their own, our first time playing festivals without being the ‘unknown up and comers’. Captured as always by our main man Joe Guppy.”

Check it out below.

Conjurer Sign To Nuclear Blast Record For The Release Of Highly – Anticipated Second Record

Conjurer have signed with Nuclear Blast as part of worldwide deal to release their highly-anticipated second record.

The metallers follow-up to their debut ‘Mire’ is expected later this year, with Guitarist / Vocalist Brady Deeprose explaining:

“Conjurer are extremely excited to partner with Nuclear Blast worldwide for the forthcoming release of our second album.

“Having spent the last year or so getting to know Monte Conner, we count ourselves lucky to be working with not only a true legend in the world of heavy music, but one who continues to champion exciting, forward-thinking art. We’ve now also been introduced to Barley and the rest of the international team at NB and it’s evident that they understand our mentality and want nothing more than to support and nourish our creativity. In what has been an awful year on so many levels, we are grateful to have found the right home for our music.

“We look forward to working together with NB to bring you our sophomore album in 2021, and much more in the years to follow.”

Monte adds: “I am thrilled to welcome the mighty Conjurer to the worldwide NB family. I must stress ‘worldwide’ because I originally signed them just for North America, but due to a change in circumstances I got to sign them again, and this time for the world! So, I guess you could say I liked these guys so much that I signed them twice! When COVID finally lifts, be sure and see them live as they will absolutely blow you away.”

Nathan Barley Phillips, European A&R, enthuses: “My first experience of Conjurer playing live was during a cold and miserable night in Milton Keynes in 2016 – I didn’t think there was a band capable of radioactively reheating my bones whilst also matching the utter bleakness of the weather outside. Conjurer achieved it in droves, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Absolutely stoked to serve as European A&R for the band during the next chapter of their career.”

Music Video’s 02/03/18

It’s time for another round of music videos! If you’re new to the post, I pick ten that have been recently released for everyone eyes and ears to feast upon!

First up is the British extreme metal group Conjurer who has released a 360-degree video for Retch, which will feature on their upcoming record ‘Mire’.

This one is about a month old but it still packs a punch. This is off Crossfaith’s latest EP Wipeout and the brilliant title track off it.

Good Tiger have just recently dropped their newest record, ‘We Will All Be Gone’, and it’s been a very good listen and this is the video for Salt Of The Earth.

This track isn’t technically in the genre of rock but I’ll allow it for this one only. This is Lights with the next instalment in her record, ‘Skin & Earth’ and the video to accompany the track, ‘We Were Here.

Off the back of the self-titled record for Malevolence, a metal group from Sheffield, they dropped this video for Self Supremacy a few weeks ago.

Following its premiere over on Revolver Magazine’s website, the Canadian metalcore group Counterparts have released the video of their titular track ‘You’re Not You Anymore’ off their latest record.

These days, Germany isn’t short of its metal groups and the trio known as O’Mara is one of their best exports at the moment.  They’ve just debuted their latest video for the track, ‘Relapse’ which sees the band going through some psychosis within the halls of a school.

Now, I’ve loved this track since I first heard it over on Radio 1’s Rock Show a few weeks ago but now The Faim has released a stunning video to go with their huge track, ‘Saints of the Sinners’.

Anybody need some more Waterparks in their life? of course, you do! It’s got everything you want. Colour, the lads and some strange goings-on. This is the video for ‘Not warriors’ and ‘Crybaby’.

Lastly, ahead of their upcoming UK tour, Canadian Punk Rockers Sumo Cyco have dropped a track off their forthcoming EP. Details are a little sparse at the moment, but for now, here’s the video for ‘Undefeated’.

And that’s it for another round of music videos for one more week! Be sure to check out next week’s post for more music-filled madness!
