Ho99o9 Releases Music Video For ‘Bite My Face’

LA punks Ho99o9 (horror) have released their second album ‘SKIN’ via DTA records, along with an arresting new video for ‘BITE MY FACE’ ft. COREY TAYLOR. Directed by Tyler Bradberry, the clip matches the chaotic intensity of their live shows as Yeti Bones and theOGM (who comprise Ho99o9) thrash next to a masked Corey Taylor. It follows recent warped visuals for the tracks ‘NUGE SNIGHT’ and ‘BATTERY NOT INCLUDED’, which also feature on the album. Before they hit the road together on the Knotfest Roadshow tour, Ho99o9 have shared a new track featuring Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor.

Fully produced by Travis Barker and with further features from Bun B, Saul Williams and Jasiah, ‘SKIN’ refines the noise and aggression that Ho99o9 are known for, truly transporting the listener to another dimension in unique fashion. It’s a searing document of a world on fire, distilling all of the turbulence, free-floating confusion and anxiety of our present moment into 12 tightly wound tracks that signal a new era for Ho99o9 and the sonic movement they’re spearheading.

Ho99o9’s latest record, ‘Skin’ is available to listen to via the following link and available to purchase via the bands official webstore.

Corey Taylor, Lzzy Hale And More Unite On New Track, ‘Thunder Force’

Some absolute legends are coming together for a new track! Corey Taylor is joining forces with Lzzy Hale, Scott Ian and more for the the track, ‘Thunder Force the lead single from the soundtrack to the upcoming Netflix film of the same name – and, according to Anthrax titan Scott, it “kicks fucking ass”.

Ahead of the premiere of the film on on April 9, Thunder Force (the song) has been shared via Milan Records, with Taylor saying: “It was awesome to work on this track with Lzzy and be a part of the film Thunder Force. It is always nice to be creative and work with other artists in the community – especially during this extended time at home. I’m excited for everyone to hear the song and see the film!”

“I’m beyond excited to be included on the Thunder Force soundtrack, surrounded by friends, representing the genres I love so much: rock and metal!” adds Lzzy. “You won’t know what hit you! Remember, lightning never strikes if you can’t force the thunder!”

“I have had the privilege of working in the music industry for over 35 years,” continues Dave Lombardo. “There is something incredibly exhilarating about performing onstage, specifically the edge that comes with the off the rails style of music I play. Working with Fil Eisler on Thunder Force somehow captured that same feeling. This score is a powerful musical engine. It was a pleasure to be a part of the team that helped this come to life.”

Composer Fil Eisler says, “One of the great things about scoring movies is that I get to play in a lot of different musical sandboxes and occasionally the opportunity comes up to invite in some special guests. Anthrax and Slayer played a huge part in my childhood and I’ve been a fan of both Corey [Taylor] and Lzzy [Hale] for years, so when the idea of doing an orchestral metal score came up, it was a perfect excuse to go straight to the source. Why fake it when you can work with the real originals! It was honestly one of the most outright fun experiences of my scoring career so far.”

Featured musician Tina adds: “Working with living legends on this soundtrack for a film that features two ordinary women turned superheroes has been incredible. I feel the same way whenever I pick up my electric cello and feel my own transformation from causal nerd to screaming banshee. I cannot wait for everyone to hear it!”

Corey Taylor Releases New Video For ‘Samantha’s Gone’

Corey Taylor has recently released a new music video of his track, ‘Samantha’s Gone’… and there’s some very familar faces included.

The very meta video features appearances from steel Panther as well as actors Tom Sandoval of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, Dean Cameron [Summer School, Ski School, Straight Outta Compton], Greg Grunberg, Ace Von Johnson, Travis Miguel and Jonah Nimoy.

Taylor had this to say about the video to Bravo’s The Daily Dish:

“The video for ‘Samantha’s Gone’ served two purposes: making fun of so-called ‘indie rock’ bands and getting all my friends together to hang out and have a good time. We all went back and forth between having fun and social distancing. Watching the first ‘band’ was great, then being fired from our OWN song in favor of Steel Panther was the icing on the cake – can’t wait for everyone to see it!”

The track is off Corey Taylor’s Debut Solo Record, ‘CMFT’, which was released in October 2020 via Roadrunner Records.

Corey Taylor Says His Debut Solo Record Is Complete

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has announced that he has completed work for his debut solo record.

The new came from the man himself when he appeared as a guest on Lzzy Hale’s (Halestorm) show Raise Your Horns on We Are Hear. Aside from the usual chat in talking about films and playing live, Taylor has said that he’s been working on the solo effort in secret.

“All five of us did it. We went in and we recorded 25 songs in about two and a half weeks, and we did everything live. And it’s dope. Really, really cool.

“All the songs are things that I’ve written over the years but they didn’t really fit with either band. So it’s stuff that I’ve just kind of been sitting on. I just kind of turned around and I was just, like, ‘Jeez, I’ve got all these songs.’ And I’ve been kind of talking about doing a solo album anyway, and I was just, like, ‘This is the perfect time to do it. And picking those guys was the perfect combo, cos we all just love the same kinds of music. The same kinds of rock, the same kinds of punk, the same kinds of metal, the same kinds of everything. We all were able to incorporate those influences into everything.”

In recent news which involves the frontman, Taylor raised $150,000 for Direct Relief’s COVID-19 fund through the sale of his guitar collection.

Massive well done to the musician there and I can’t wait to get to listening to his solo effort.
