Dashboard Confessional Unveil New Video For ‘Here’s To Moving On’

Dashboard Confessional has unveiled the official music video for their inspiring new single, “Here’s To Moving On.” The touching new video is out now following its exclusive premiere via Consequence’s “Origins.”

“It’s been one hell of a year for us all (and then some),” says DC founder, frontman, and songwriter Chris Carrabba. “I hope this song can be a small reminder that no matter what challenges life might throw at us today, it’s always worth fighting for a better tomorrow. I feel so very fortunate to be able to share this with you. To the incredible team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making that possible.”

Hailed by Rolling Stone as “vintage Dashboard,” the soulfully optimistic track heralds the eagerly awaited arrival of the first all-new Dashboard Confessional LP in four years, All The Truth That I Can Tell, due via Hidden Note Records/AWAL on Friday, February 25, 2022; pre-orders/pre-saves are available now. Dashboard Confessional Announce Valentine’s Day Livestream

Dashboard Confessional have announced the details of ‘Lonely Hearts & Lovers’, a livestream event which is due to take place on Valentine’s Day.

It’s set to be Chris’ first performance in over a year and first since he was involved in a motorcycle accident last summer.

Here’s what he had to say about it:

“Nearly a year ago, our 20 year celebration came to a halt when everyone’s lives were changed by Covid. Then, I was in an accident that left me worried that I would never be able to play music again. I received so much kindness from people I know and people I don’t know. The kindness that I received from friends, family, and total strangers was incredible. Over the last 20 years, you have given me so much, and I am just so grateful. I can’t explain what it felt like to get back in the room with my bandmates and play music again. This year has been hard for everyone and we all are missing each other more than ever. I know we can’t be together until it is safe for everyone to do so, but I miss hearing your voices, and seeing your faces. I’d be so pleased to see you…”

So that will take place 7PM EST but it will take place at midnight on the 15th February 2021 in the UK.

Tickets are available via the following link.

Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional) Hospitalised Following Motorcycle Crash

Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional has revealed he was recently in a motorcycle crash and has since been in hospital.

The crash he was involved in, occurred on June 6th where the injuries sustained were “severe but not life threatening”.

The full statement can be read below.

“Hi friends on June 6th I was in a motorcycle accident. My injuries were severe but not life threatening. I owe the amazing doctors, nurses and medical team treating me my endless gratitude. I am determined to make a full recovery, but I have surgeries and months of rehab to come.

I have not lost sight of the social issues at hand and even in the condition I’m in I find it important to state that I stand with black lives matter. In the near future it is likely I will not be able to follow the news as much as I normally would. If you don’t hear from me on critical social issue I trust you will know where I stand.

I’d like to thank: Bell Helmets, Biltwell, Rev’it, Alpine Star and Wolverine Boots for making the safety gear that protected my body in the crash.

I would also like to thank my family and friends for coming together to support me in this time of need. To all reading this I would like to say thank you for standing by me through my recovery. This will be difficult physically, emotionally and financially and I’m grateful to have your support as I go through it.”

Music Videos 20/4/18

You know what time it is? It’s time for another music video roundup! For those who don’t know what the post is about, I find ten of the best music video released within the last week or so and put them on a list all for your viewing pleasure. Let’s kick things off with… Trivium! They’ve dropped this ahead of their UK tour that’s off their acclaimed eighth record, ‘The Sin And The Sentence’, which many have said that is their best record in years.

Going straight to video number two, it is Punk Rockers, The Bronx. It’s the latest track from their recently released record, ‘V’. This is ‘Side Effects’.

Next, we have New York post-hardcore legends Glassjaw. At the end of 2017, they dropped their long-awaited third full-length record. One of the tracks released before the record dropped was ‘Shira’, and now the band dropped a video to accompany the track.

Now, Chase Atlantic are gearing up for a hectic few months with Sleeping With Sirens but that doesn’t mean they don’t have time to drop a new music video! Check out one pretty amazing video for their track,  Numb To The Feeling below.

Another band who will be on a massive touring schedule over the next few months are Stick To Your Guns. They’re on a huge trek of the states and Europe with festivals all over the place as well but before any of that goes off, check out their new video for ‘Doomed By You’.

Now moving onto something a little different,  technical death metal group Rings Of Saturn have been touring across quite a lot recently, and in their new video for Margidda, it looks as if they want to tour planets as well!

I think I should’ve made it a tour special now! Ahead of the US tour with Memphis May Fire, Fire From The Gods and Madame Mayhem, Sevendust have shared a video for their latest track, ‘Not Original’ from their yet to be released record, ‘All I See Is War’.

US band Sink The Ship have shared a new video for ‘Everything’ which comes off their soon to be released record, ‘Persevere’. The track and video feature guest vocals from Levi Benton of Miss May I.

Now, Hopesfall released their first offering of fresh material finally and their first cut of new music since their 2007, ‘Magnetic North’. This is their lead single to the fifth record, ‘Arbiter’ and here it is, ‘H.A Wallace Space Academy’.

Now, the last video of the night! It’s Dashboard Confessional, back to their best but I do have to say this track is quite vulnerable of them and video for their song, ‘Heart Beat Here’ from the newest record Crooked Shadows, available now via Fueled By Ramen.

New Found Glory Announce Show To Raise Money For Victims Of The Victims Of The MSD High School Shooting

These are legends right here.

New Found Glory have announced the details of a benefit show to help raise money for the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.

Joining them will be Chris Carrabba from Dashboard Confessional and Ryan Key of Yellowcard.

All profits of the show are going toward the Broward Education Foundation Stoneman Douglas Fund.

“The members of New Found Glory would like to start by saying this is a statement that we wish we never had to write in the first place. Our hearts are broken, and we cannot imagine the pain the victim’s families, friends, students, teachers, and anyone else impacted by the recent tragedy at MSD must be feeling. While we feel there are no words that we can say or do to fix this in any way, we wish to let you know that our hearts are heavy with the pain that this event has caused to so many.

We want to stress that the most important part of the grieving process is to focus on the healing of those affected by this senseless act. As some of you may or may not know, half of our band went to MSD so it is important to us that we do as much as we possibly can to help the school and families of the victims. They deserve our love, support, and help, and we will help in any way we can. We have decided that, in an effort to help raise funds for those impacted by the events at MSD and to honor the victims and heroes, NFG will be playing a benefit show at Pompano Beach Amphitheater on May 16th.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, March 5 at 10am ET. Also joining us will be Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional) and Ryan Key (formerly of Yellowcard). All proceeds from the show will be donated to the official Broward Education Foundation Stoneman Douglas Fund gofundme.com/stonemandouglasfund who provide relief to those affected by this tragedy.

In addition to the show, we are releasing a MSD inspired t-shirt, available on our web store (newfoundglorystuff.com), with all the profits also going towards the Broward Education Foundation Stoneman Douglas Fund.

We are, and always will be, proud to be part of the Coral Springs/Parkland community. We love you all, and together we will get through this, one day at a time. #parklandstrong”

Music Video’s 30/12/17

Okay, it’s time for the final Music Video countdown of the year! In two days 2017 will be no more and I wish my readers of Almost Anything Music a Happy New Year!

Now let’s get to the videos.

The first band on the agenda is the Sweedish act; Tribulation. ‘Lady Death’ is the second single off their new record ‘Down Below’, which will drop on the 26th January via Century Media. Here is the video.

Next is the latest single from Heavy hitters Five Finger Death Punch. It’s called ‘Gone Away’ which is off A Decade Of Destruction, a compilation record of their great hits.

Continuing the music is Dashboard Confessional, whose new record ‘Crooked Shadows’ is set for a release February 9th via Fueled By Ramen. This is their beautiful track, ‘We Fight’.

Let’s go to Watford for this next band. Punk. hooks. Big Hooks. If you’re into all of the above, then you need to check out Funeral Shakes new video; Lightning.

Feed The Rhino are keeping the audiences primed for their new release titled ‘The Silence’ which is still a few months away. If you want more of this band, then you need to watch Timewave Zero.

Now I know Christmas has just passed but Foo Fighters did a huge celebration live at SNL! They played Everlong and a few festive tracks. You have to see it to believe it.

Now Machine Gun Kelly is on a roll at the moment. He’s had a track with Bebe Rexha and X-Ambassadors which was on the Bright film, recently released on Netflix and he’s just dropped a fantastic video for his own track; Habits.

Next, we go to a group who’s been on the scene for a number of years now Feeder. They’ve been a little quiet recently but they have a best of compilation record out which is their best of. Here’s their video, Figure You Out.

Papa Roach has had their latest record ‘Crooked Teeth for over half a year now and they’re still going strong, especially with this new video for ‘Traumatic’.

Now for the final video of 2017, this has been out for a little while now but I think it needs to be shown because of the theatrical nature of the music video but it’s a fantastic video to end 2017 on. Here’s A Statue Of The King from Avatar.
