Post-Hardcore quintet Senses Fail have announced the details of two upcoming livestream events where they’ll be performing ‘Still Searching’ and ‘Let It Enfold You’ in their entirety.
Both sets were recorded using a 360 degree tracking camera as well as steadicams at Joshua Tree, California with the set for the performance of ‘Still Searching’ set to air on July 29th 2021 whereas ‘Let It Enfold You’ will air a week later on August 5th 2021.
Frontman Buddy Nelson said the following on the sets.
“Joshua Tree is tied to many significant life changing events for me and the band. I heard the news of my first child, was a witness and first responder to a horrific accident, received news of a new president and experienced life altering connections with nature and family.
As a human I have done my best to survive and to ultimately flourish, I see the desert of Joshua Tree as a similar example of desolate space that thrives. My internal narrative can sometimes be desolate but I have always found a way to grow and persist despite harsh conditions. The desert has shown me that life is both beautiful and tragic and that both of them must exist in each other’s arms to feel the full spectrum of what the universe has to offer.
I can think of no better place to perform out two most popular and life changing records that deep in the heart go to the

The singer added: “Better Without You talks about all the obstacles along the way, moving from the past into the present time. I have different parts of the song that are assigned to different people and entities in my mind. But I don’t think calling people out when I’ve already defeated all my monsters along the way is really something I want to do.”

Dance Gavin Dance released their ninth studio album, Afterburner, earlier this yearwhich has already clocked up 70.2 million streams since releaseand topped a multitude of charts on two separate occasions, once with it’s digital release hitting #1 across the Current Albums, Alternative, Billboard Top Albums, Digital, Current Digital Albums, Rock, Heavy Rock and Current Independent Albums charts and #14 on the Billboard Top 200 and again when the physical version was released several months later due to the pandemic, when it hit #1 across Vinyl, Internet, Alternative, Rock, Hard Music, Independent Current Albums, #3 Top Current and Billboard Top Albums and #47 on the Billboard 200 charts.
The album was produced by the group’s frequent collaborator, Kris Crummett, (Issues, Sleeping With Sirens, Mayday Parade) and Drew Fulk a.k.a. WZRD BLD (Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Bad Wolves). The album is a landmark mission statement that encompasses Dance Gavin Dance energy past, present, and future. It is a dynamic demonstration of what the quintet does best, and is equal parts aggressive, melodic, and unrestrained.
Rejecting tired formulas at every step, Dance Gavin Dance merge progressive rock and post-hardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor. The group has amassed over 1 billion global streams, and 1 million album equivalent units sold across their catalog in the US alone. With hundreds of thousands of rabid fans engaged with Dance Gavin Dance on socials and their very own festival event, Swanfest, which sold out its inaugural edition in 2019 and is slated to return, once it is safe to do so, in 2021, it all amounts to a full force band facing a mainstream that has overlooked them for too long.
In the heady tradition of Frank Zappa and Nirvana – people who made serious art without ever seeming self-serious – Dance Gavin Dance is a band that does what they want, how they want, confident that the audience will keep up. Tree City Sessions Volume 2 is another in a long line of wildly creative, boundary pushing endeavours by one of modern music’s most brilliant and unique musical forces. Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of DGD history, get your tickets now.
Earlier this year in May, Five4Five fest brought together a group of bands for a livestream experience.
Now, the festival is back with a fantastic lineup.
Five4Five Festival is set to take place over December 18th and 19th 2020 and will be headlined by Holding Absence and Yonaka.
On the announcement, Yonaka have said:
“We are dead excited to be headlining this festival. It’s for a great cause for everyone to get involved in, saving the grassroots venues that we have all had a great time in. We all want to get sweaty and moshy again so do what you can to help and enjoy the show!”
And Holding Absence have said:
“After what has been the longest year for all of us musicians, Holding Absence are extremely excited to be blowing off the cobwebs and headlining Five4Five fest this December! We all individually tuned in and enjoyed the first one so are honoured to be a part of it this time around, especially as all the proceeds are going towards something as close to our hearts as the Music Venue Trust.”
In addition to the headliners, The Dangerous Summer, Normandie, Vukovi, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Lizzy Farrall, Hacktivist, Delaire The Liar, Nova Twins, Holiday Oscar, Chapter and Verse, Snake Eyes, As Everything Unfolds, Weatherstate, The Rhythm Method, Tally Spear, Stay Free, Anavae, Paper Mill and Haggard Cat will all play.
All of the performances will be free to watch on the festival’s Facebook and YouTube pages but those watching will be encouraged to donate £5 to a link provided at the time. All profits will be donated to the Music Venues Trust’s #saveourvenues crisis fund.
The festival’s co-founder Tom Pullen had this to say:
“The past, present and future of the UK music industry relies on grassroots, independent music venues. We at Five4Five can’t stand by and watch as our venues are left to weather the Covid-19 crisis on their own. We’re proud to partner up with the Music Venue Trust to help ensure they can reopen safely, so we can go back to the loud and sweaty spaces where it all begins. In the meantime, we’ve gathered some of the finest acts to enjoy from the comfort of your own sofa. We hope you enjoy and donate if you can.”

Ukraine’s progressive groove metal frontrunners JINJER have finally released their very first official live album, Alive In Melbourne, today via Napalm Records. The album shows JINJER at what they do best: smashing crowds to bits like very few bands can. Recorded on March 5th 2020 on the Australian leg of their highly successful Macro World Tour, the show was one of the last performances for JINJER, as well as the rest if the world due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Alive In Melbourne features 17 of JINJER‘s heaviest hitting tracks including I Speak Astronomy, Noah, Pit of Consciousness, Words of Wisdom and their breakthrough single Pisces.
As an added bonus and a surprise to their fans, not only can you listen to Alive In Melbourne in its entirety on all streaming platforms but together with Napalm Records, JINJER will also premiere the complete Alive In Melbourne concert video on Youtube FOR FREE! Tune in to the Napalm Records Youtube Channel and experience the energy that JINJER deliver live and up close in your own living room.
Alive In Melbourne is not only a live album but a very personal project of JINJER‘s enigmatic and outspoken bassist Eugene: “When this idea first came about, never could I imagine that it would grow into the project that it has become. First it was supposed to be a single video or maybe 1 or 2 more, then it was meant to be an online concert video for Knotfest.com …. and now, after 6 months of planning, reacting and fighting to get this little piece of heavy metal history out to our fans and friends: Alive In Melbourne is out! From picking the cover artist Gabriel Nicoletti, to writing the very intense and personal band history in the linear notes … this album was not only something that I felt that our fans deserved in these strange times but it also helped me get through some of my own darkest times during the first Covid-19 lockdown. This was a moment in time that none of us will forget anytime soon.”
Check out the full concert below.
Orders for ‘Alive In Melbourne’ are available via the following link.
