Rage Against The Machine has always been a band that hasn’t been far from the public consciousness, especially with their anthem ‘Killing In The Name’, with numerous artists covering the track which spreads the message our further into the mainstream audience.

Most recently, Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker took on the track.

Now, more have taken to cover the pulsating music in their own way with Two Minutes To Late Night bringing together members of Fever 333, Jesus Piece and Glassjaw for a cover.

“Frick you, I won’t do what you tell me!” say 2M2LN. “We made a thrash metal cover of Rage Against the Machine and based on the subject matter of the song we wanted to feature only non-white performers. Defund the police.

Music Video’s 07/09/2018

Hey everyone, Apologies for not putting out a new post of music videos last week, I’ve been at some job interviews in the last week so time has gotten away from me.

But now, here’s another edition of the Music Video Posts. First up are Glassjaw who have dropped a video for their track, ‘My Conscience Weighs A Ton.’

Next up are Fangclub, a personal favourite band of mine. After the release of ‘True Love’ in June, they have dropped a video for ‘High’ with some amazing visual effects.

Now, coming off with a personal message of a period of We are in a period of instability, adversity, and change… but also it’s a time for hope and possibility… As  Espace The Fate put it, there is the video for I Am Human.

Now, with some Airplay and some videos under their belt, Somerset group Pretty Little Enemy have a new single and a new video in the form of ‘Never Say Goodbye.’

Moving to TheCityIsOurs, this video is centred around the theme of loss and death, in their video for ‘Veins’.

Ever wanted to see what touring life is like for a band who wear Wolves on their heads? Well that’s what the point of this video is in Man With A Mission’s video for ‘Hey Now’.

I’ve been waiting to hear something from this group for a while. Now, this is building up a release from their new record, ‘Mental Knife’ but post-hardcore’s Hail The Sun is a bit arty and more or less sticks to the stop-motion technique in their video for ‘The Stranger In Our Pictures’.

Now let’s go to Canada. Melodic hardcore fave’s Counterparts will be releasing a new EP called ‘Private Room’ and they’ve just dropped the video for ‘Selfishly I Sink’. It’s a B-Side from ‘You’re Not You Anymore’ but now I’m generally excited to see more unreleased music see the light of day.

And the penultimate video. something politically charged? Check. Confronting historical injustice? Check. That’s exact;y what The Fever 333 tackle in their video for Made An America. On the video,  Jason Butler has said: This video was an attempt to offer representation to gravely underrepresented, and ironically prevalent, faction in both music and society. This is an acknowledgment of those whose bodies were exploited in the name of power. The beautiful bodies and souls that have been taken from time and time again to serve the interests of someone else with no regard for their own existence or advancement.

And lastly, last week Bring Me The Horizon dropped the first song off their new era. Now I’m not saying we should be starting or joining any cults but Oli Skyes and co do want me to follow their music more closely. Check out the video for their single, Mantra below.

And that’s it for another week of the best recent music videos. Be sure to check back next week for another round of the ten of the best.

Music Videos 24/08/18

Heyyyyyy. Sorry there wasn’t a post last week. I was in a massive work overdrive for my final hand in! Yes I did say final so hopefully, everything’s going to be back to normal ASAP!

We’re going to kick things off with a little bit of With Confidence and their video for “Moving Boxes”. This is coming off their newest record, Love And Loathing which was one of my favourite releases of 2018 thus far.

Now, Woes are one of my favourite new bands at the moment where they just instantly grabbed my attention. I’ve seen them twice so far this year and will see them when they support State Champs in the coming months which I can’t wait for! For now though, things are getting aesthetically pleasing in their brand new single for ‘Over it’.

Now for a little bit of Yorkshire Pop-Punk. And that’s something you don’t hear about often. Check out their latest offering in Can’t Say I’ll Miss You.

Moving on, Blackpool based band Boston Manor are gearing up for their new record release in ‘Welcome To The Neighbourhood’ which is set to be released via Pure Noise Records on September 7th. for now though, here’s their latest release in the form of ‘Bad Machine’.

For the next video we’re off to the South Coast. Up and Comers Acres have shared a new video for their amazing track, ‘Medicine’ where the writing of the lyrics for this was a cathartic process for vocalist Ben Lumber.

With Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend, Harrogate hardcore outfit Blood Youth shared the beginning of the latest chapter with their brand new song ‘Starve’. It’s their first material released since last year’s debut record ‘Beyond Repair’ and the first since introducing Matt Hollison into the fold as their full-time bassist. Check out Starve below.

Now as a solo act, William Ryan Key has been pursuing a solo career which is paying off well with the release of his debut EP, ‘Thirteen’. Taken from footage on the road, he has compiled them into the following video for ‘Old Company’.

Recently, Post-Harcore New Yorkers Glassjaw wrapped my a main stage slot at this year’s ArcTanGent festival and to top things off, they have dropped a video which comes from their acclaimed record, ‘Material Control’. Check out ‘My Conscience Weighs A Ton’ below.

And another band that are gearing up for a new record release is Pop-Punker’s WSTR. Identity Crisis is being released on the 31st of August but we’ve been given another look at what’s to offer with the video for ‘Crisis’.

We’ll go Post-Hardcore for the last video on this list. With Hands Like Houses, they’ve gone down a much more rock direction with the track for ‘Monster’. It’s the second single to come from their upcoming fourth record, ‘-Anon’ and is accompanied by a retro horror film feel.

And that’s it for this weeks music video list. I do apologise that there was a gap in last week’s countdown but hopefully it’ll be back to normal from next week.

Music Videos 20/4/18

You know what time it is? It’s time for another music video roundup! For those who don’t know what the post is about, I find ten of the best music video released within the last week or so and put them on a list all for your viewing pleasure. Let’s kick things off with… Trivium! They’ve dropped this ahead of their UK tour that’s off their acclaimed eighth record, ‘The Sin And The Sentence’, which many have said that is their best record in years.

Going straight to video number two, it is Punk Rockers, The Bronx. It’s the latest track from their recently released record, ‘V’. This is ‘Side Effects’.

Next, we have New York post-hardcore legends Glassjaw. At the end of 2017, they dropped their long-awaited third full-length record. One of the tracks released before the record dropped was ‘Shira’, and now the band dropped a video to accompany the track.

Now, Chase Atlantic are gearing up for a hectic few months with Sleeping With Sirens but that doesn’t mean they don’t have time to drop a new music video! Check out one pretty amazing video for their track,  Numb To The Feeling below.

Another band who will be on a massive touring schedule over the next few months are Stick To Your Guns. They’re on a huge trek of the states and Europe with festivals all over the place as well but before any of that goes off, check out their new video for ‘Doomed By You’.

Now moving onto something a little different,  technical death metal group Rings Of Saturn have been touring across quite a lot recently, and in their new video for Margidda, it looks as if they want to tour planets as well!

I think I should’ve made it a tour special now! Ahead of the US tour with Memphis May Fire, Fire From The Gods and Madame Mayhem, Sevendust have shared a video for their latest track, ‘Not Original’ from their yet to be released record, ‘All I See Is War’.

US band Sink The Ship have shared a new video for ‘Everything’ which comes off their soon to be released record, ‘Persevere’. The track and video feature guest vocals from Levi Benton of Miss May I.

Now, Hopesfall released their first offering of fresh material finally and their first cut of new music since their 2007, ‘Magnetic North’. This is their lead single to the fifth record, ‘Arbiter’ and here it is, ‘H.A Wallace Space Academy’.

Now, the last video of the night! It’s Dashboard Confessional, back to their best but I do have to say this track is quite vulnerable of them and video for their song, ‘Heart Beat Here’ from the newest record Crooked Shadows, available now via Fueled By Ramen.
