Rising Melodic Techno Producer Gone Share Live Video For ‘Saved’

Melodic techno producer and percussionist GONE has released his debut EP, SOURCES on the 28th of May via Enchanté Records. On the EP, listeners will find the ear-catching track, ‘SAVED’. The EP was composed, mixed and vocals provided by GONE while the mastering was done at London based studio Noize Music and has already received support from COMPLEX, Tonspion and LIBERATION, playlisted by TSUGI Mag as well as UK radio Kiss FM with Justin Wilkes, and BBC Radio Cardiff’s Sian Eleri.

The French pianist and percussionist was born and is currently based in Paris, where he has been exposed to the vibrant and dynamic music scene that surrounds the city. Rich in complexity, SOURCES can be compared to the likes of Ben Bohmer, Jan Blomqvist and Stephan Bodzin.

Spamming across the web of multiple universes, GONE takes an elegant and refined approach to create the complex set of rhythmic patterns found within SOURCES. Dancing amongst genres and lightly acknowledging each, the EP stands as a testament to the synth-fuelled sounds and deep rolling basslines that drive many a listener into a vibrant haze. Organic fuelled electronica at its finest, SOURCES leaves the listener eager to hear more from the rising DJ.

The rising producer tells us about the unique project: “I am starting a musical adventure where I will project myself all over the world. Sharing my world with as many people as possible is an absolute dream. I am also preparing a dark scenography, intrinsically linked to the history of GONE. My music is an escape. In front of my speakers, I often try to create a parallel universe, beyond the foreground instruments and combining voice with music without one overriding the other.”

Subway To Sally Release New Live Video For ‘Kein Meer Zu Tief’ Feat. MajorVoice’

Chart-breaking German folk rock institution SUBWAY TO SALLY demonstrate their exceptional live presence once more, carving a unique stage experience in stone with their new BluRay/DVD/CD release, Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark (#6 GER album charts).

In an intimate setting, the Potsdam based unit drops a colorful bunch of songs taken from their multifaceted discography and invites its listeners to be part of an exciting adventure, offering some great surprises and performances never heard or seen – till now! One of those highlights embodies the new live-video for the emotional track “Kein Meer zu Tief” (engl. “No Ocean Too Deep”), a song originally by German artist MajorVoice, in which SUBWAY TO SALLY are accompanied by the bass/baritone vocalist.

SUBWAY TO SALLY on the performance:
“At the Eisheilige Nacht 2017 we had Mono Inc. as a guest, who, in addition, had a guest themselves be part of their show. Someone we didn’t know till then. A really tall man with an equally great voice was asked on stage during their set. That’s how we got to know MajorVoice and immediately invited him to be part of our HEY! tour 2019. In the meantime, we have become close friends. Unfortunately our planned continuation of the joint HEY!tour in 2020 couldn’t take place. His appearance at Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark is far too small a consolation, but at least it reminds us of better times and stirs the anticipation on what we can do together musically in the future.”

Subway To Sally Releases Live Video For ‘Kleid Aus Rosen’

SUBWAY TO SALLY have released the second video from their new live Blu-Ray, Eisheilige Nacht – Back To Lindenpark. This special, intimate version of the fan-favorite “Kleid aus Rosen” (EN: Dress of Roses) offers an absolute world premiere: Ally Storch, as well as Saskia and Birgit from Schandmaul, intonate the legendary three-part polyphony at the beginning of the song for the first time ever live.

This version of “Kleid aus Rosen” stands for what Eisheilige Nacht – Back To Lindenparkis all about: an intimate setting, special guests and unique production.

Bodenski on “Kleid aus Rosen”:
“There are lyrics that you write in one ride. I can still remember exactly how I put this story on paper. In my mind’s eye I saw a balladeer standing in the marketplace with a display board and telling his audience this gruesome story, perhaps as a lesson and warning for young girls.

I actually believed at the time that the lyrics would not be suitable for SUBWAY TO SALLY. I was so wrong. When I heard Ingo’s brilliant composition to this text, I was thrilled. It is rightly one of our most popular songs. Everything about this song is just right. In the studio, Sigrid Hausen, better known as Syrah, helped us to sing the three-part intro. Until the Eisheilige Nacht Online, this intro was always recorded. It was a special experience for us to hear it live for the first time!”

SCAR OF THE SUN’s Terry Nikas adds:
The third video of Inertia, second installment of the ‘Quantum Leap Zero’ trilogy, ‘Transition To Turbulence’ is the most indicative song of the album in my eyes! This was filmed at our last show before COVID hit, a magnificent sold out show as direct support to the legendary Rotting Christ in front of 2,700 people in Athens, Greece. This is probably my favorite song on Inertia and definitely the one that I am most looking forward to playing live again when the time comes!”

Ro Bergman Shares ‘Wake’ Single & Live Video

Indie rocker Ro Bergman has released his latest single ‘Wake’ on the 29th of April. Premiered via Medium’s Pop Off, the single is accompanied by a live video at Rockhouse Salzburg and has been taken from his upcoming EP, Hi-Lo which will be released on the 18th of June via Bergman Music/Las Vegas Records. Fans have already been treated to two singles from the EP – ‘Yes Yeah’ and ‘Animal’. The musician has received significant support over the years, with features in CLASH Magazine, Rolling Stone India, Atwood Magazine, Backseat Mafia, XS Noize, Neon Music and Last Day Deaf amongst others. In total, the musician has earned nearly half a million plays across streaming platforms. Hi-Lo was produced by Niko Stössl (who previously worked with Dave Gahan, IamX, NIHILS, Motoboy) and Zebo Adam (Bilderbuch) and written and composed by Ro Bergman himself.

The Austrian musician is originally from Salzburg but is currently based in Tirol Kitzbühel. Formally trained at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Ro Bergman is greatly influenced by travel but also calls upon the well-known likes of Beck, Bon Iver, Fink, The National and The Verve for inspiration. However, his own sound sits in closer comparison to the likes of Tame Impala, Foals, Local Natives and Chet Faker.

Opening with a playful attitude, ‘Wake’ is all things summer itself hopes to be. A tribute to youth and all of the strange humour found within it, the single is the perfect positive tone to drive you towards a new mindset  as it uses velvety dreamscapes with scenes that melt into one another. Days and nights become a blur as life becomes vibrant with memories and imagination. Ro Bergman is there to give you a push, a nudge or a wink – whatever you need to get on the road and begin that journey towards a sunset soaked beach and a breath of fresh fair.

Ro Bergman shares his inspiration behind the single: “My goal was to write something that was more than just a corona-anthem, but right now the longing for anything more than a prolonged house-arrest is especially present in my mind. I started to dream in a new way, that was more beautiful than strange and I woke hungry for living”
