MOD SUN has recently dropped a new track, the tender and fantastic, ‘Battle Scars’
It’s another example of just how powerful a songwriter MOD is, and how he squeezes every ounce of himself into his art.
Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I was dealing with addiction for a decade. I was in relationships that I knew were destroying who I really was. I went to war with myself and came out on top. I’m so proud of where I am today and this song really helped me get there.”
A new era of Mod Sun is upon us!
After a little testing, he’s shared the latest track, ‘Rich Kids Ruin Everything’.
The track takes aim at those who have been born with a silver spoon in their mouths and then put themselves into the middle of a culture that they only like because it’s cool.
He had this to say about the tune:
“I grew up a scene kid, a skateboarder and a pop-punk kid…It’s both awesome and hilarious yet confusing seeing the general public and pop culture embracing all the things that I would get torn down for. This is a song that I wrote for all the kids who feel confident in their own skin…There’s more to this world than what’s currently popular. I want kids to feel like it’s important to be visionaries not followers.”
This follows on from a two hour documentary the artist released called ‘Remember Me Just Like This’ which tells his story up until now.
Mod Sun has announced a headlining show to go with the Slam Dunk Festival dates later in 2022.
DeathbyRomy will be supporting the show at London’s Underworld on June 1st where he’ll play track from ‘Internet Called The Rockstar’ in the country for the first time!

Over the course of 2021, Mod Sun has released a lot of massive material proving all good things come to those who wait.
Over the last few months that material has been toured showing just how amazing the year has been for the artist and it’s all been summed up into a brand new music video for ‘Down’.

Following on from the release of her collaboration with Mod Sun for the track, ‘Flames’, Avril Lavigne has confirmed that her new record is finished and the even better news is that new music is coming soon.
Lavigne has been teasing the record, the follow up to her 2019 effort, ‘Head Above Water’ with snaps from the studio revealing sessions which feature John Feldmann, Mod Sun and Machine Gun Kelly.
Now, in a response to a fan on Instagram, Lavigne wrote of the record, “It’s done! Music coming soon. For sure summer.”
No official details have been released but they will be confirmed as they develop.
A few weeks ago, Mod sun released a brand new track ‘Flames’, which was an absolute powerhouse of a track. And even better…. it features Avril Lavigne.
Now there’s a Music Video. And it’s beautiful track from the graveyard to the burned down house to the warehouse where they stand back to back.
