Motionless In White have revealed that their brand new album is just around the corner.
Set for a release date of June 10th 2022, ‘Scoring The End Of The World’ and will be dropping on June 10 via Roadrunner Records.

Vocalist Chris Motionless had this to say about what it represents to them:
“‘Cyberhex’ is my love letter to you, our fans, for everything you have done for me over the course of some of the most mentally taxing few years I’ve had to go through. At times where I felt like my world was ending, as well as the world around us, it was always in my mind that I was able to turn to the special relationship we have created together for help, and I cannot thank you enough for that. Outside of my own personal experiences, it has been equally as fulfilling to me to see that in the face of tireless forces that continue to try and perpetuate hatred and negativity towards so many of us coexisting on this planet, we have allstood together to resist and fight back knowing that love and compassion will always prevail. Motionless In White have shared a brand new blood soaked video for their track ‘Thoughts & Prayers‘.
The video itself was directed by the band’s guitarist, Ricky Olson. He says the following:
“I’m super excited to have been given the opportunity to combine both of my passions into one project. Chris [Motionless, vocalist] and the guys trusted me with a vision, and I think we were able to put together something we are all very proud of. I hope all the fans enjoy—they were at the forefront of the project and without them this video wouldn’t have been possible. This one’s for you guys! Again, extreme gratitude to the band and to everyone at Roadrunner for giving me the opportunity to do something I’ve wanted to do for years. Hopefully, this is the first of many!”

With the announcement in the last few days that their upcoming fourth record was announced, Beartooth have confirmed a handful of UK shows for February 2022.
‘The Below Tour’ will see the band hit the road with support from Motionless In White and Stray From The Path, with three massive headline UK shows scheduled for Birmingham, Manchester, and London in the middle of a stint in mainland Europe.
Speaking about the tour, frontman Caleb Shomo commented.
“I’ve never been more excited for a tour in my life. This is my favourite album I’ve ever made and getting to headline these rooms and put on the full show with no limits is a dream come true. The line-up is stacked. It’s gonna be one of the craziest shows of my life every single night.”

Happy spooky season everyone and welcome back to the New Music Roundup! We’re here for a roundup of five of the best recently released tracks. They’re not all within the same genre and they’re all different in some way or another but that means that there’s a little something for everyone here but come on, let’s get down to the music!
First up this week is the British Singer / Songwriter Charlie Simpson whom you might know from the bands Busted and/or Fightstar. He’s released his first solo track since his 2016 record, ‘Little Hands’.
Starting this weeks roundup off is the fantastic track, ‘I See You’.
Please note at the time of writing in preparation for this weeks list, there is no indication yet if this track will feature on a yet to be announced EP or Record.
Now we move onto the New York alternative pop band Eighty Ninety which consists of brothers Abner (vocals, production) and Harper (guitar, production) James — share their new singe, “Better as Friends”. Following the brothers’ previous release “Happier,” “Better as Friends” is the second single from Eighty Ninety’s forthcoming sophomore EP. The EP was created in collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Gian Stone (Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Dua Lipa).
Both cinematic and intimate, “Better as Friends” is a dreamy mix of contemporary pop and hazy chillwave production propelled by a driving pulse that culminates in a yearning, widescreen chorus complete with soaring melodies, lush arrangements and the band’s distinctive guitar work. As with all of Eighty Ninety’s tracks, “Better as Friends” uses deeply personal lyrics to connect with universal themes and feelings, exploring the powerful pull to stay connected with someone you once loved despite how painful it can be. “It’s about the desire to live in the past rather than face the end, and how loving someone can mean wanting the best for them even if that no longer includes you,” Abner and Harper write.
The NYC based duo’s songs fuse intimate storytelling, sticky melodies, and minimalist pop productions built on acoustic instruments and electronic sounds in a style they call “808s and telecasters” — a shorthand for both their music and their anything-goes mentality in the studio. “We let the emotional arc of the song, rather than any set of genre conventions, lead us to instruments and sounds,” the brothers say of their process.
Now we have the exciting, effervescent Maggie Cassidy, a British band with a fresh, pop-fuelled edge, blending filthy guitars with irresistible choruses to deliver a rare concoction of boyband punk.
The playful tongue-in-cheek track ‘D.E.A.D!’ is about feeling dead inside from staring at screens all day like a zombie, without human interaction. “Given the last six months EVERYONE is more familiar with that feeling than ever,” says guitarist Jan-Erik Barnegren.
“There’s genuine feeling at the heart of the song, but there’s also an element of us poking fun at those emo tropes that really glamourise the macabre (which also comes across in the music video),” adds vocalist Jamie Coupe. “As an emo band we love that about the genre, but sometimes you have to poke your head up from out under it all and not take yourselves too seriously.”
In additional exciting news, the band have also announced that they will be back in the studio with Seb Barlow (Neck Deep) in November to record the follow-up to their recently released debut EP, ‘Life Is Beautiful’.

Diving further into the spooky, we have Scranton’s very own Motionless In White where ‘Creatures X: To The Grave’, a tip to their ongoing tenth anniversary celebrations of their debut album, ‘Creatures’.
Chris Motionless (Vocals) says:
“After ten years of the most insane highs and lows that a band can experience, we are so proud to hit such a milestone as a record having its 10th anniversary. We wanted to do something special to celebrate, so we decided to throw it back with a very ‘Creatures’ inspired track that includes some of the very same keyboard sounds and guitar riff styles that are found on that record, as well as many callback lyrics and themes to the original ‘Creatures’ song. It’s been a very interesting year for everyone, but we’re happy to have found cool ways to still give fans something to hold on to throughout. Hope everyone enjoys this one. Happy Halloween.”
And lastly, The Pretty Reckless have been pretty quiet as of late, until now.
Their latest track, ‘Broomsticks’ arrived in the middle of the band teasing what is going to be their new record, which will be made with Century Media Records.
“When we first heard the new album, ‘Death By Rock And Roll’, we were very excited,” says the band’s manager, David Sonenberg. “We couldn’t wait to play it to record labels. We took a ton of meetings and received offers from a broad range of labels. But it quickly became apparent that Century Media was the right partner for us. They shared our passion and enthusiasm for what we believe will be a breakthrough album for The Pretty Reckless. So, here’s to our new partnership with Century Media! And long live Rock and Roll!!!”

Motionless In White have announced they’re set to play their record, ‘Creatures’ in full for the very first time as part of a ‘Deadstream’.

Motionless In White have previously teased some new music were coming. There was however been no indication on what it would be.
Now, in the midst of this free time they’ve been having, the US Metaller’s have released ‘Another Life / Eternally Yours: Motion Picture Collection’ which is a four track EP which consists of two new collaborations – Crystal Joilena and Kerli – as well as reimagined versions of two fan-favourite singles: Another Life and Eternally Yours.
The band say:
“With all of the downtime of not touring, we wanted to take the opportunity to try something we’ve never done before. We give you, Eternally Yours: Motion Picture Collection (Feat Crystal Joilena) and Another Life: Motion Picture Collection (Feat Kerli).
“Thank you to Crystal and Kerli for your amazing vocals that helped transform these versions into something truly special. Thank you to Justin Deblieck for your ever-brilliant talents that shine so bright throughout these tracks, and thank you to Steve Sopchack for your keen ear and dedication to mixing this project. We hope you all enjoy and are still staying safe out there.”
“There’s going to be a usual mix of things on the record like we normally do, from stuff like Another Life and Voices all the way to stuff like Thoughts & Prayers and Undead Ahead 2, and stuff that we’ve done everywhere in between,” he said. “But, yeah, so far for me, it’s been a little heavier.
“I don’t know if that’s out of frustration of what’s going on; I don’t know if it’s just that that’s where my creative interest is lying right now, where I’m wanting to write some heavier stuff. But we have a ton of stuff in the bank that I keep going back to and picking and choosing from, and a lot of that stuff is also the heavy stuff that I’m gravitating toward. So I don’t know… You might hear maybe a few more heavy tracks on the album this time than anything else, but don’t hold me to that.”
The Scranton metal outfit Motionless In White have confirmed that they’re going to be releasing two “projects” over the course of the summer of 2020.
This will be the first release from the band since their 2019 ‘Disguise’ record.
The news was confirmed by vocalist Chris Motionless, who’s receieved the final mixes of the projects.
Just received the final mixes for two projects we are releasing this summer. I can’t wait for you to hear. All I’m going to say is ….. you should stock up on some Kleenex now ahead of time.
At the time of writing, it’s uncertain to say what these projects are exactly but who’s to say that it’s something else entirely? I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
Download Festival 2020 isn’t going to be taking place this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but the organisers of the event have announced the line-up for a virtual weekender that’s set to take place!
The Download TV Weekend will take place on the same days as the cancelled dates (Friday 12th – Sunday 14th June 2020) and will feature some artists who were scheduled to play this year.
It’s all taking place on Download Festival’s YouTube channel, where the three days will be divided into a day and evening schedule, with the evening boasting two to three hours featuring performances from your favourite artists.
It will feature special interviews, unseen performances, exclusive footage and loads more!
Keeping with the 2020 lineup, there will be Kiss’s 2015 Download Festival available to watch on the Friday night.
Iron Maiden have the top billing band on Saturday evening where they will have a special set of archive performances as well as snippets from the Legacy Of The Beast tour.
System Of A Down will bring the weekend to a close on the Sunday with footage from three of their previous performances in 2005, 2011 and 2017.
Other acts confirmed are Alter Bridge, Babymetal, Deftones, The Darkness, Steel Panther, Mastodon, Lacuna Coil, The Pretty Reckless, Black Veil Brides and Poppy.
There’s also going going to be cookalongs which will act as the daytime activities where MasterChef’s Simon Wood, Vegan stars BOSH, tutorials, mindfulness sessions and more.
People who will be watching are encouraged to erect tents in their homes, dress as your rock idols and send in photos and videos using the hashtag #DOWNLOADTV.

It’s 4PM and it’s Friday! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks.
This weeks first video comes from the Californian collective, Black Label Society with ‘Bored To Tears’ which is off the bands reissued ‘Sonic Brew – 20th Anniversary Blend 5.99 – 5.19. Zakk Wylde has said:
“…with the NEW BLACK LABEL SUPAH-EXCITING TECHNICOLOR DREAM COAT HIGH CALORIE BURNING video for ‘Bored To Tears’, I told BLACK LABEL DIRECTOR O’ DOOM & DELIGHT, Father Justin Reich, that I wanted to do an ‘exciting’ and ‘tough’ looking video in the movie genre style of Clint Eastwood & Charles Bronson. After seeing the video, apparently, Father Justin Reich doesn’t know who these LEGENDARY FILM ICONS are or has them confused with two other actors named Clint Eastwood & Charles Bronson. Every time I watch this video, I’m more confused than I was during the previous viewing.”
Up next are the King’s Lynn melodic hardcore group MY Only. They’ve recently released a brand new emotive cut titled as ‘…unfamiliar’, which is a continuation of their previous release, ‘…a death’.
“My Only are demonstrably flawed. Believers in understatement, the four-piece from across the UK are intent on identifying and replaying what makes us human: nuanced and imperfect emotional well-being. ‘…unfamiliar’ explores the aftermath of ‘…a death’. An ending that was long speculated came to fruition. The resulting abjection was crushing. My Only regret was …unfamiliar.”
Moving toward some contemporary Punks channelling the 90’s grunge movement, L’s Ramonda Hammer is moving up in the world with the help of their new single, ‘Better View’.
“Better View is about various fantasies and realities that two people find themselves in when they are trying to get to the best version and perspective of each other,” explains frontwoman Devin Davis of the song’s lyrical content. “It also explores identity — how two people can lose themselves in each other…and identity in the sense of how people feel in their own bodies. That being said, I think emotions and personal qualities have no gender; strength isn’t masculine and nurturing isn’t feminine. Two people in love just put all their non-binary puzzle pieces together and see what kind of picture it makes.”
Moving ahead with their upcming record, Motionless In White are bringing the fright in a new animated video for ‘Undead Ahead 2: The Tale Of The Midnight Ride’. It’s the latest cut from their upcoming record which you can view below.
Moving into some Pop-Punk territory now, The Dangerous Summer has a new video for their single, ‘Bring Me Back To Life’. I’m guessing they had to name change quickly because of the Evanescence track (that’s a terrible joke) but the track is emotional and sweeping for everyone, here it is below.
Everyone’s waiting to hear the Scottish Power Rock duo Vukovi’s new record and every cut from the record just makes us want more and in their next video for ‘Behave’, this video is fully signed via an animated interpreter.
“Anyone can be a part of Vukovi and we’re always thinking of ways to show that to people. Rather than ‘yet another lyric video’, we decided to create something that would include another demographic of people that I feel are sadly forgotten about at times. We hope you all enjoy.”
For this next video, the Cowboy is back. There’s only one band this can be. Don Broco. They’ve just dropped their video for ‘Half Man, Half God’. It was partially filmed at their Wembley Arena show earlier in 2019.
Continuing their domination of the UK and pushing their latest record, ‘In Moment // In Memory’, the Southampton lads in Our Hollow, Our Home have a spellbinding new release in a video for ‘Disconnect’.
‘Disconnect’ is primarily about dealing with such emotions, those times when you feel that life has taken a drastic shift for the worse and you just can’t quite comprehend the reality of what’s happening around you.” says Vocalist Tobias Young
For the penultimate track, I’ve deviated from this weeks list, just a touch. It’s The Drew Thompson Foundation and yes that’s the Single Mothers vocalist doing what he does best. The videos a little funny which shows a day in the life of Drew’s life with a little bit of everything including Ice Cream thrown into it.
And lastly, they’ve been away for a long while working on their anticipated second record and it’s been well worth the wait. This Irish three-piece new track is apparently their most ferocious track to date.
“It’s a heavy hitter with a lot of massive riffs. Lyrically, songs are always open to interpretation but we will say this, the verses are an inner voice or a devil on the shoulder and the choruses are the volcanic eruptions from deep within. Heavy shit. We know. Can’t help it.”

Up next are the Pennsylvanian metal band Motionless In White. They have a haunting new video for ‘Disguise’, which is the title track of their upcoming full-length fifth record. Warning! It isn’t for the faint-hearted.
Shifting to the Punk and Electro project BAIT, there’s a video which has recently been released for the track, ‘DLP’.
“BAIT isn’t just music, it’s ventilation, it’s expression through art. We all have a voice and this one speaks from the guy in broken English. I record my own music, I edit my own videos, I design my own covers and I work with people I love and respect… because I have to and because I want to.’
Shifting the focus to metalcore, Polar have some satanic force for ‘Devil’, a new cut from their latest record, ‘Nova’. The track is about the liars and cheats the plague our lives”, sees a seemingly invisible character walking the streets and bringing out the worst in the people that he passes. Let’s have a look.
London based Punks Petrol Girls have a teaser for their upcoming record, ‘Cut & Stitch’. The track and video are both in collaboration with the Solidarity Not Silence organisation. Ren Aldridge (vocals) has said:
“Thematically, ‘Big Mouth’ follows on from our previous single, ‘The Sound’. But it focuses in on voice as a physical sound that comes directly from our bodies, and also more generally as self-expression. There’s a lot of politics around who is heard and what that means, and many marginalised groups are only tolerated when they’re quiet. When they refuse this containment and control, they’re met with attempts to silence them. Just one example of this is the defamation case which aims to silence the Solidarity Not Silence girls – a group of women who each separately spoke out against the behaviour of a man in the music industry. Whilst the case is ongoing, we are limited in what we can say about it, but encourage everyone to spread the word and donate to the crowdfunding campaign for their legal costs. They are determined to not allow their case to set a precedent for silencing marginalised voices in the music industry and beyond. There’s no legal aid for this kind of case – they need money to pay for their legal representation in order to pursue justice. You can get a Solidarity Not Silence t-shirt, as worn by Joe in the ‘Big Mouth’ music video.”
Next, I have to write about this one. It’s been everywhere. Yes, it’s the Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie collaboration, ‘ME!’. I had to post this one, come on, don’t hold it against me.
Rumours circulated ahead of the release with Brendon sharing: “Wait. This really happened?! Like for real?!?! Well I can’t begin to describe how incredible it has been to work on this song and video. So I will simply say: Thank you Taylor Swift for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful story. So much fuckin love and respect.”

Now, it’s been three years since Angels & Airwaves released their first piece of new music, and that was their 2016 EP, ‘Chasing Shadows’! Now, that is a long while! Their new single ‘Rebel Girl’ is out now and it’s off their upcoming full-length record. On the track, Tom DeLonge has said:
“’Rebel Girl’ is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music… As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company, so you never know – I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”
Blessthefall has some live performance which are turning out to being legendary apparently, but they’re just stepping up everything as a band if this new video for ‘Welcome Home’ is anything to go by, we know everyone loves a good taste of the Pheonix metalcore group!
New Years Day are well and truly back! They’ve recently dropped their new video for ‘Shut Up’, which has some similarities to American Psycho, because of course! I mean, it’s New Years Day. Would we expect anything less from them?
Speaking on the video, Ash Costello has said:
“When we recorded the song ‘Shut Up’ I knew right then and there, on that day, straight away, what I wanted to do if we were ever to make a music video for it. It came to me immediately. So when the time came and ‘Shut Up’ was chosen for a music video, I was thrilled because it meant that I’d get to make my vision come to life, which was to recreate one of my favourite horror movies of all time, ‘American Psycho’”.
I had to save this for last. The well-dressed German masters Rammstein are legendary, aren’t they? Everything seems turned to eleven when they release something, as if it’s a huge day because of that release. And that’s just what this video is for our last pick of the music video roundup.
