Nothing, Nowhere has released a brand new single titled as ‘Nightmare’ which his first release single his collaborative EP with Travis Barker in 2019.
On the surface of the track, it’s a departure from the usual musical style, with an emphasis on the synths heavily featuring while still retaining the lyrical nature ‘Nothing, Nowhere’ is known for.
He’s been involved with a few collaborations as of late, one being the amazing ‘I Think I’m Okay’ with Yungblud and Machine Gun Kelly but now, a new EP is going to be released with Nothing, Nowhere which will be released on Fueled By Ramen / DCD2 on 20th September 2019.
On the EP, Nothing, Nowhere has said:
“Travis has been a huge influence on me my whole life. He is the reason I became interested in tattoos at a young age and was also one of the main reasons I decided to start learning how to play instruments.
“Working with him was some of the most fun I’ve had making music. it was just an organic process, it reminded me of hanging at a friend’s house when I was younger and just creating to create.”
Barker added:
“I love making music with Joe. He lives in a universe between genres like myself and does it so well. It’s like hanging out with an old friend that skates, listens to everything I do, and we just happen to be making music at the same time. Joe’s a triple threat, this EP showcases that.”
Check out ‘Destruction’ below.
Pre-order details arer available via the following link.
Earlier in 2019, Nothing, Nowhere entered the studio with the Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
Billboard revealed in February that Travis and Nothing, Nowhere recorded not one, not two but three tracks together.
“We were in the studio two weeks ago and did a couple songs, three records from scratch. I don’t know how you categorize it: he’s not quite SoundCloud rap but not a straight up band. He’s pushing the envelope.”
But now, it turns out that studio session wasn’t the only one, as Nothing, Nowhere has posted a new video of himself in the studio with Travis.
It’s 4PM on a Friday! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. First up are the electro-industrial duo fascinated by the world of both crime and serial killers. Their song ‘Jim Jones’ is named after the infamous cult leader, whom in 1978 committed a mass murder-suicide of 918 people after he forced his followers to consume cyanide-poisoned drinks.
On the track, Skynd has said:
“I always wanted to write about Jim Jones because I’ve long been fascinated by how easily people are manipulated when it comes to religion. It was interesting how people followed him while ignoring all of the facts to the contrary about who he truly was. We put the facts of the story into music. I was also intrigued by the audio tapes of him talking his followers into suicide, I knew I had to write about it.”
Next up are the first taste of a brand new band, Raiders. They’re made of former members of The Blackout (Sean Smith & James Davies), Ryan Lewis and Chris Davies (no relation to James).
Check out the first taste of the band in the form of ‘Wasting Away’ below.
Moving up to Manchester, in the form of the metal band Derange, they have a video for ‘Divide’ which is about dealing with toxic people and the situations in your life.
“‘Divide’ touches on the subject of being in a toxic environment with someone else. You’re exhausted, you’re aware how bad it is and you’re not yourself anymore. But you feel so attached by that someone that you feel like you can’t escape anymore.
Whilst difficult circumstances to be in, it sends a message of hope. It tells you can put your foot down, peel off that painful layer, and discover the superhuman in all of us that can overcome the tough encounters we endure.”
Mayday Parade may not be back on UK shores until Reading and Leeds festival in August but, until then we have a new music video from the band where the concept was thought up by none other than their drummer, Jake Bundrick.
“‘Never Sure’ always gave me a feeling of energy and it only seemed appropriate to make a video that not only included us performing live but also included behind the scenes footage of the band being ourselves while on tour. I remember seeing videos on Instagram of Chris’ work with Neck Deep, 3OH!3, and Don Broco, and I just knew he was the man for the job. It was an honor to work with him and I think he gave the song even more life in the form of a video. Enjoy!”
Next, they’re currently touring the US but the heavy hitters’ Spite have a very sinister video which is aptly named ‘The Root Of All Evil’ for us to enjoy.
Now, for a fan-favourite track. Nothing, Nowhere has had this on streaming services for a while but originally it was a secret track! It’s done in a one-take setting which has Joe Mulherin playing ‘Ornament’ while he also makes maple syrup. Random but interesting.
Now, I think Zac Farro (Paramore) has had enough of sitting behind the drumkit. His own side project, HalfNoise recently released a 60’s influenced video for ‘Who Could You Be’. In addition to this, Farro also directed the video for the track, saying:
“With the ‘Who Could You Be’ video, I wanted to capture the energy and immediacy of the song and also have the band be seen right away instead of having a concept that is too artistic and hard to understand. As the director, I wanted to showcase the performance of the song more than the lyrical meaning. The main goal was to make a classic video that you can watch a long time from now.”
With the release of their debut EP, ‘Ghost Like You’ out into the world, this video for ‘Find Away’ had the post-hardcore newcomers Captives see them address mental health.
On the track they said:
“This song means a lot to us as a band and if you relate to the lyrics, we hope you find strength in knowing you’re not alone and you can always find a way. Help break the stigma and let’s keep the conversation going.”
How about some more Post-hardcore for the penultimate video? Yeah? Well, in that case, we have ‘Divided’ by As Everything Unfolds. They’ve got some festival appearances this summer but had this for every to see which is their third single from their ‘Closure’ EP but as a bonus, the track features Sam Stolliday of TheCityIsOurs.
Lastly, on this week’s music video countdown, we have some undead madness from the Alex Gaskarth and Mark Hoppus super duo Simple Creatures. They’re currently on a high as they’ve recently released their debut EP as well as playing a few shows which acted as their first as a duo for its release.
And that’s it for another week of music video roundup. Don’t forget to check back next week at 4PM sharp for another countdown of ten of the best recent music videos to feast your eyes upon. There’s also new posts every day on the Almost anything Media so be sure to check out anything that might catch your eye.
Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has revealed on Joe Rogan’s podcast, speaking about his life and whom he has been spending time with in the studio, sharing: “I love- studio life is awesome. Like, I did a Hans Zimmer thing the other week, and the next day I’m in with nothing, nowhere. doing something completely different.”
Following the mass cancellations of Nothing, Nowhere’s tour last month, there has been another cancellation as the frontman is seeking treatment for his mental health.
Nothing, Nowhere was scheduled to appear on The Pit stage but has pulled out of this weekend’s festivals as he continues his recovery.
This is what he posted.

Hopeless Records have signed a new band recently, called Lotus Eater and the Scottish Metalers already have released a new video. Check out ‘Break It’ below.

Going to everyone’s favourite Emo rapper in the form of Nothing, Nowhere and front his third full-length record, ‘Ruiner’ you can check out ‘Rejecter’ below.
Following the departure of Douglas Robinson last year, it was easy for any band to call it a day. But, that wasn’t the case for Night Verses. One Year on, they’ve released a new record and here is ‘Vice Wave’.
Now, Sweedish rockers Normandie are entering a new era for the band as they’re gearing up to release a new track but for now, we have the infectious track ‘Ecstasy’ for you to view below.
Now another band who are setting off on a new era are Set It Off. They’ve been away for quite a while now, and the plans have come into fruition. They’re releasing a new record but there is no release date as of yet. On the other hand, we have their new track, ‘Killer In The Mirror’ to keep us preoccupied.
And for the last new band for the list, who else is there to put on than Twenty One Pilots? They’ve recently announced their new album, ‘Trench’ and what else can they announce other than a tour? How about a music video for the track, ‘Nico And The Niners’? Check it out below.
And that’s it for another week here on the weekly music video list. Be sure to check back next week for another list of the best music videos released in the last week.
There’s both good and bad news in this post. Due to vocal rehabilitation, Nothing, Nowhere has had to cancel his upcoming show in London, which he did sell out in 24 hours.
But the cancellation comes with the news that he’ll be coming back to tour, making his live European debut later this year.
It’s back! The first of the music video countdown posts in a long while. So why haven’t I posted one of these in a while? The bottom line is that I’ve been so busy! But now the workload has gone down a bit, I’m back and ready to go!
So, up first is the band known as Hercules Morse. They’re from Southampton and are just about ready to go on their debut full-length effort. It’s not out for a while but here’s the video for their lead single, ‘Everything Is Great’.
Next up are the lads from Four Year Strong. This is being released ahead of their upcoming US tour as the band have revealed a new video for the track ‘Nice To Know. It’s a little different from the usual material but enjoyable all the same. Watch it below.
Now we go to France. This is from the band Death Engine as the band are gearing up for the release of their second record, ‘Place Noire’ in April. Until then, here’s Modern Life. Check it out below.
We’re now moving across the pond to Great Grandpa for a track off their debut record, ‘Plastic Cough’, released last year via Double Double Whammy. This post, however, is concerning their newest video for ‘Teen Challenge’ which can be seen below!
Just coming off their UK headline tour, Hollywood Undead have released a new video to accompany the track for ‘Your Life’. It’s the bands latest single from their newest record ‘V’. Your Life can be viewed below.
Still coming off strong from his very own all-dayer, Lenmaina in London, Jamie Lenman hasn’t stopped so far this year as he is currently on his headline tour of the UK! While he’s on that, we can all see what he’s made of in the new video for his track, ‘Bodypopping’ below.
Now having the name for the new face of Emo is a lot to carry on his shoulders but by the looks of things, there’s no pressure as Nothing, Nowhere has dropped the video for REM.
If you were lucky to see Paramore’s Tour Three in the UK then you had a great time! For those who didn’t then their newest video for ‘Rose-Colored Boy’ will have to do as it’s full of Paramore goodness.
We’re going to return to the heavier side now. Casey drop their upcoming record ‘Where I Go When I Am Sleeping’ soon and now, we’ve had a glimpse of what else is coming to the table. Here the video for Phosphenes.
I’ve saved the best for last. This has to be one of my favourite tracks as well as videos at the moment. It’s the hard-hitting and female fronted band known as Dream State who hail from South Wales. They’re about to head out on their headlining UK this month and they’ve released their first music since signing to the label, UNFD. This is their newest video for ‘In This Hell’.
And that’s it for another week of music videos. Plenty of videos to view for one week. Until next week for another round of it all again.
