Palisades Release New Single, Announce Upcoming Record, ‘Reaching Hypercritical’

NPalisades have dropped their latest single and music video “Better” (via Rise Records). Not only that, but the band has also announced their forthcoming album ‘Reaching Hypercritical’ (out on Friday 22nd July), their latest LP since 2018’s ‘Erase The Pain’. “Better” speaks to themes of mental health, including frontman Brandon Elgar’s experiences with agoraphobia, chronic anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders. Speaking on today’s release, Brandon shares:

“What I want people to get out of this song is, I want them to feel safe listening to it… especially if you suffer from these things. At the end of the day, it’s all that I want to feel, is better. And I think that’s why that became such a stamp in this song because I think that’s what everybody wants to feel… Awareness is important, being kind to people is important. So I hope you get satisfaction out of this song like it has done for me.”

Palisades Release New Single & Music Video For ‘My Consequences’

New Jersey rock powerhouse Palisades are back with a vengeance and released their new single and music video “My Consequences” (via Rise Records). After weathering life’s storms of losing loved ones and band lineup changes, “My Consequences” is the first track with their new singer (formerly bassist) Brandon Elgar. Speaking on today’s news, Brandon shares:

“My Consequences” is the culmination of so much work and so many emotions. We are really excited to share this song with the world. Having felt trapped inside my head for some time, this song acknowledges those feelings while inviting anyone that has felt the same to come along on the ride with us.”  The release is the first from Palisades since 2018’s ‘Erase The Pain’, which charted on the Billboard 200 and debuted #1 Alternative New Artist, #1 Top New Artists, and #4 Hard Music charts. The band has clocked up a staggering 262 million streams worldwide and over 511,000 monthly listeners on Spotify alone. Music Video Roundup 08/03/19

It’s Friday at 4PM! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. First up is someone with a love/hate relationship with everyone and that is Andy Black of the Black Veil Brides. Following the teasing, he’s announced his upcoming solo record, ‘The Ghost Of Ohio’, which is set to drop on April 12th 2019. Of that, the latest single, ‘Westwood Road’, has a video which you can see below.

Next up are the recently emerging duo Sadsun. They’re from the North East, namely Newcastle and they’ve introduced themselves in the best way possible in the form of their debut single, ‘Control’ which you can view below.

Who loves a good old fashioned performance in a music video? That’s exactly what Gloo are going for, in the video for their amazing track ‘Stop And Stare’. Check it out below.

Last year, The Dangerous Summer returned with the first record in five years but they aren’t any signs of the band slowing down in releasing new material. ‘Where Were You When The Sky Opened Up’ does pack a punch but is instantly different from their roots.

Now, do you enjoy weird Science experiments, neon glasses and creepy doctors? Well, Palisades new video for ‘Erase The Pain’ is the video for you! It’s taken from their fourth record, ‘Erase The Pain’, which was released at the end of 2018.

This is a huge new video. Crystal Lake have revealed a huge brand new video for ‘Devilcry’ It’s off their 2018 record, ‘HELIX’ for which they’re currently touring for in America with August Burns Red, Fit For A King and Miss May I. It’s heavy, techy and filled with lots of live footage.

One artist to watch this year is the ever fantastic Cory Wells. He’s about to tour, supporting the legendary William Ryan Key (Formally Yellowcard) and now has something for us to feast our eyes upon in the form of ‘Patience’

Who loves a good cover? I do. Pop-Punk kings New Found Glory have ‘From The Screen To Your Stereo 3’ dropping soon. This is their record where they cover trailers from films in feature-length films. The first track off this particular release is in the form of ‘The Power Of Love’ by Huey Lewis & The News, from the 1985 Sci-Fi classic, Back To The Future. Check out the video below.

A few weeks ago was Valentines Day, and there was a special collaboration between Yungblud, Halsey and Travis Barker (Blink-182). When the three were in Sydney together, they had to perform it live but now, there is a video for the track. Check it out below.

And now, we’re at the last track of this week’s Music Video countdown. Off their debut record, ‘One Of Us’, is the title track which features members of the band, Fever 333 in a protest. This is coming off one of the best records released so far this year and now, here is one of the best videos of the year so far in a march alongside the United Teachers of Los Angeles in support of their strike.

And that’s it for another week of music video roundups. Be sure to check back next week for another ten of the best right here at Almost Anything Media.

Music Videos 16-03-18

It’s time for another roundup of music videos! There have been some fantastic ones released in the last week and here’s ten to satisfy your viewing needs.

Up first is Zand. Originally called Seafoal, they dropped that name and have now released ‘Boys Like U’, a more alternative pop number than previous efforts. Oh and this video was self-directed to!

This next video comes from Savage Hands. They’ve just dropped their debut EP, ‘Barely Alive’ and have now dropped their video for ‘Unconditional’.

Now, this is from UK up and comers Crossing The Limits. Their last video, ‘Won’t Settle’ was fantastic and now, they have just dropped the video for ‘Reverse’.

North Carolina based group, Between The Buried And Me have dropped the first half of their two-part record, ‘Automata’ earlier this week and to coincide with the release, they’ve released this video for ‘Millions’.

Going to New Jersey next with post-hardcore band Palisades as they have dropped their most recent video off of their self-titled third record! This is ‘Through Hell’.

Going to Brighton, we have Pop-Punk quintet The Gospel Youth as they have been busy on quite a few tours as of late. In their video for ‘Bloodlines//Love Stopped Me Coming Home’, we see how that went down.

Now we have some nostalgia in Black Veil Brides newest video. The video is called ‘When They Call My Name’ and have it full of old footage including their performance at London’s Brixton Academy!

Now, Scottish Pop Punkers are currently on tour in Europe supporting Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes but that hasn’t stopped them dropping a video for their newest single ‘High On You’. It’s compiled of live footage from their recent tours including Neck Deep and Seaway.

Moving forward in an emotional video from Movements is the track for ‘Feel Something’. They’ve teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association for the tracks videos which depicts a vivid representation of the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Lastly, we have the amazing American Nightmare and a track from their recently released self-titled record. It’s one of the latest cuts which blends hardcore and gothic punk. Hmmm, sounds interesting.

And that’s it for another round of music videos this week. Be sure to check back next Friday for another selection of new music videos.
