Poppy Drops New Tack, ‘Her’

Poppy has released a brand new single.

Titled as ‘Her’, the track was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen, and is the third releasedin the last few weeks, following up from her ‘Eat’ EP and a cover of Jack Off Jill’s ‘Fear of Dying’.

The track comes alongside a stop motion video by animator and Chris Ullens, which you can check out below.

Poppy Performs New Track ‘Say Cheese’ at WWE NEXT Takeover

Yesterday (April 8th 2021) Poppy performed at the WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver event, during which she debuted a new and unreleased song, ‘Say Cheese’.

‘Say Cheese’ is expected to appear on Poppy‘s yet-to-be-announced follow-up to her 2020 record, ‘I Disagree’.

Poppy Announces The Last Disagreement Livestream

Saying goodbye to the I Disagree era, Poppy has announced the details of a livestream event.

The show which will premiere on April 24 through Veeps, this livestream will see the musician running through her first whole set following the postponement of her UK and European tour last year due to coronavirus.

Poppy Announces Christmas EP

Deck the halls with…no not yet. It’s not December yet. And anyone who is singing the music, it’s okay… But that doesn’t mean we can’t be bringing you some Christmas Music news as the Post Genre star Poppy has announced a new Christmas EP.

It’s set to be released on December 1st 2020 through Sumerian Records and the EP will feature 4 original tracks.

Poppy Cancels Upcoming 2020 UK Tour

As with the norm this year with all touring commitments, Poppy has announced that she has been forced to cancel all her upcoming UK tour dates for December 2020 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The tour dates were originally set to go ahead in March of this year but were postponed and rescheduled to December.

Poppy has confirmed the tour dates to be rescheduled to 2021, with more details expected to follow and be announced soon.

Line Up Announced For Virtual Download Festival

Download Festival 2020 isn’t going to be taking place this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but the organisers of the event have announced the line-up for a virtual weekender that’s set to take place!

The Download TV Weekend will take place on the same days as the cancelled dates (Friday 12th – Sunday 14th June 2020) and will feature some artists who were scheduled to play this year.

It’s all taking place on Download Festival’s YouTube channel, where the three days will be divided into a day and evening schedule, with the evening boasting two to three hours featuring performances from your favourite artists.

It will feature special interviews, unseen performances, exclusive footage and loads more!

Keeping with the 2020 lineup, there will be Kiss’s 2015 Download Festival available to watch on the Friday night.

Iron Maiden have the top billing band on Saturday evening where they will have a special set of archive performances as well as snippets from the Legacy Of The Beast tour.

System Of A Down will bring the weekend to a close on the Sunday with footage from three of their previous performances in 2005, 2011 and 2017.

Other acts confirmed are Alter Bridge, Babymetal, Deftones, The Darkness, Steel Panther, Mastodon, Lacuna Coil, The Pretty Reckless, Black Veil Brides and Poppy.

There’s also going going to be cookalongs which will act as the daytime activities where MasterChef’s Simon Wood, Vegan stars BOSH, tutorials, mindfulness sessions and more.

People who will be watching are encouraged to erect tents in their homes, dress as your rock idols and send in photos and videos using the hashtag #DOWNLOADTV.

Poppy Reschedules UK Tour For December 2020

After being forced to cancel her UK and EU tour due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Poppy has now confirmed her rescheduled dates for later this year.

Originally set to run through March of this year in support of her latest record, ‘I Disagree’, the tour will now go ahead in November and December.

Here are the dates.
