Rise Against have announced the details of their upcoming record, ‘Nowhere Generation’.
Tim McIlrath (Vocals) had this to say about the album’s themes:
“Today there is the promise of the American Dream, and then there is the reality of the American Dream. America’s ‘historical norm’ that the next generation will be better off than the one that came before has been diminished by an era of mass social, economic, and political instability and a sell-out of the Middle Class. The brass ring that was promised by hard work and dedication no longer exists for everyone. When the privileged climb the ladder of success and then burn it from the top, disruption becomes the only answer.”
The record is set to be released on June 4th 2021 via Loma Vista Recordings.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the new music roundup. We’re here for a roundup of five of the best recently released tracks. They’re not all within the same genre and they’re all different in some way or another but that means that there’s a little something for everyone here but come on, let’s get down to the music!
First up this week are Static Dress and another look into their ever growing an immersive universe and compelling colours to what goes into their unvierse.
‘for the attention of…’ finds the band at their ferocious and emotive best, with gutteral howls and desolate riffs aplenty. It’s an absolute rager basically.
Frontman Olli Appleyard had this to say about the track:
“a hate fuelled track, taking the listener on a destructive story about dealing with the many different faces of addiction.”
Seconds up this week are the Metalcore turned Pop-Rock trio Hundredth with their latest track off their upcoming fifth record which just so happens to be the title track, ‘Somewhere Nowhere’
Changing things up to Seaway, we’re going for a little bit of fun in their track for ‘Wild Things’.
This is a fresh cut off their upcoming record, ‘Big Vibe’ via Pure Noise Records.
“Going into writing Wild Things we knew that this song would lean more heavily on the indie-pop influences,” says Ryan Locke. “It came together a bit later in the process, I think with a song like this it had to breathe a bit so we could figure out where it was going to go.”
“We can’t wait to introduce the new era of Seaway,” the band add of the album. “‘Big Vibe’ is the record we have been working towards our entire careers. For this record we threw away usual conventions of the scene and genre and just made the record we always wanted to make. As usual for Seaway, it is a dynamic collection of sound and inspiration that bleeds through from track to track. Big Vibe is a feeling that doesn’t let up throughout the entire record, and we hope you feel it in your entire body.”
They continue: “As the title track of our new record, we believe ‘Big Vibe’ is the most encompassing track on the album, as well as most representative of where Seaway is at this point in our career. Inspired by 80’s Power Pop, lyrically this song continues what Seaway has been known for, while musically pushing us to new dimensions. It’s got a windows down, volume up feel that is omnipresent throughout the whole record.”
Now in a tease for their debut effort, the Nashville band Chamber (currently signed to Pure Noise Records) have announced their latest single, ‘Visions Of Hostility’.
A press release explains of the imminent release: “Angry, ferocious, mournful and at times blissfully melodic, Chamber deal in devilish speed and frantic nervosa, without sacrificing unrelenting heaviness. Emotional confessions abound in the lyrics, with a plainspoken examination of trauma and personal upheaval, befitting the music.”]
Fianlly this weeks track is the ever powerful, Rise Against.
The track called ‘Broken Dreams’, features on the Dark Knights: Death Metal soundtrack
“Broken Dreams, Inc. speaks to today’s changing landscape of American society, the opportunities that are available to some but not to others, the people who are able to benefit versus those who get left behind, who suffer and end up as casualties,” explains frontman Tim McIlrath. “How do we level the playing field so everyone can have a real chance at attaining the American Dream? One word: ‘disruption’
