Defacing God Signs Worldwide Contract With Napalm Records & Napalm Events

Napalm Records and in-house booking agency Napalm Events are proud to announce the signing of melodic death metal five-piece DEFACING GOD. Inspired by rich and dark Scandinavian metal traditions, their sound balances massive melodies with a twist of classical music and ballistic “in-your-face” death metal with deep inspirations from witchcraft, occultism and the obscure. The quintet is now ready to conquer the scene!

Formed by vocalist Sandie ‘The Lilith’ Gjørtz and co-founder Michael Olsson (drums) in 2015, DEFACING GOD merged a perfect constellation of members in 2017, completing their mutual vision for the project. DEFACING GOD’s concept is based on the resurrection of Lilith: Through their storytelling, music and the group’s aesthetic, they pull their listeners into a dark universe, a time travel through occult myths, folklore and ancient stories. Their debut album, entitled The Resurrection Of Lilith, is currently recorded in collaboration with Jacob Hansen, who is known for working with bands like Volbeat and DESTRUCTION, and will be released via Napalm Records in 2022.

DEFACING GOD on the signing:
“Today we are very proud to announce that we have signed a worldwide record deal with Napalm Records! After the release of the music video for our track ‘Succumb The Euphoria’  in 2020 we got in contact with Napalm Records and the deal was sealed. Since then we ́ve just waited for this pandemic to pass so we could share the news!

We are truly grateful for this collaboration, this new chapter in our journey, and we can’t wait to get back on the road! Currently we are getting ready to hit the studio for the recording of our long-awaited debut album The Resurrection Of Lilith. We would also like to give a special thanks to Jacob Hansen, the master of massive sound production and our beloved sound engineer for being the greatest work-partner we could ask for during all this! With this great support behind our back we can’t wait to spread our music across the world!”

The Hellfreaks Signs International Record Deal With Napalm Records, Release New Single & Video For ‘Old Tomorrows’

Better watch out! Hungary’s finest sonic-shifting punk/metal upstarts THE HELLFREAKS just signed an official record deal with Napalm Records!

THE HELLFREAKS on the signing:
We’re thrilled and proud that we can reveal one of the biggest news in our history – our signing to Napalm Records! The last decade was a hell of a ride for us and especially the pandemic right after our latest album release hit us pretty hard. Who’d have thought that this could turn into such a happy end? But you can be sure that this is not the end, this is just the START! We can’t imagine a better partner of supporting our vision of music, of mixing metal aggression with the attitude of punk

We always stood for strength and were the voice for those who are done with collecting more scars, but now we’re stoked on a whole new level and are ready to make all our freaks and our new label proud!”

With a stellar discography and millions of streams, THE HELLFREAKS have been on the insider tip for many fans around the globe. The band recorded their first demo in 2009, followed by the massive psychobilly-punk hit “Boogie Man” (the video has over six million streams on YouTube) and their debut album, Hell Sweet Hell. In 2014, it was time for change, and the band switched up its lineup, leaving their accustomed sound behind them for good. With more of a focus on punk-meets-metal, THE HELLFREAKS continued to hone their songwriting chops and grow their fanbase at the same time, culminating in the release of their critically acclaimed, fan favorite album, God On The Run (2020).

And THE HELLFREAKS wouldn’t be themselves if they weren’t equally hungry for more – immediately releasing a brand new single/video to announce the signing. “Old Tomorrows” is the perfect introduction with singer Shakey Sue’s trademark catchy sing-along-screams and cleans with the band’s high paced alt metal groove as the backbone, and is destined to become a punk rock anthem for new and longtime fans alike.

Check out the video for ‘Old Tomorrows’ below.

THE HELLFREAKS on the new single:
With “Old Tomorrows” we would like to welcome you in our new era! If “Old Tomorrows” would get manifested, you would face an ageless architect who is planning an indestructible bridge between generations. Most of us grew up being told to respect our elders in any case. The box was ticked. But it’s just not working like that. As the world is changing quickly the gap between all generations is constantly growing. While elders are expecting respect for their experiences, youngsters feel unvalued, as their potential seems to be ignored. We’re pointing out each other’s differences, while not seeing that the disrespect comes from the same root – we’re not doing things the same way. It’s time to accept that we’re not better than the other, but that we can get a better version of ourselves if we open our minds. “Young mistakers, old days chasers, let’s become generation breakers!””

Real Friends Sign To Pure Noise Records, Release Two New Singles

Illinois-based quintet Real Friends are turning the page on a new chapter with new singles“Nervous Wreck” and “Storyteller.” Released today along with the announcement of their signing to Pure Noise Records, these two new singles also welcome a new face to the band with new singer Cody Muraro.

“Nervous Wreck was inspired by the isolation I’ve experienced over the last year,” shares Bassist Kyle Fasel“Before COVID hit, I was making strides to get out of my introverted ways. All of those strides were quickly erased when the world flipped upside down. I’ve often been so introverted that some people take it the wrong way, like I’m mean or something. When in reality, I’ve just developed some social anxiety as I get older. The lyrics of the song point to me being out of my own skin when around other people, and even feeling out of place when I’m by myself. There’s not really a resolution to the song. It’s very much about being in the midst of all those complicated feelings. Having a new singer in the mix can be a hard challenge to overcome, but Nervous Wreck still fully embodies the spirit of Real Friends. It fits Cody’s voice perfectly. I remember recording it and thinking this is exactly what Real Friends is. This track is very special to me.”

Check out ‘Storyteller’ via the following link and watch the music video for ‘Nervous Wreck’ below.

For as much as the world has changed since Real Friends first emerged in 2010, the band’s mission hasn’t. They continue to bleed without apology and write songs that make it okay to feel everything: the ups, the downs, and anything else in between. Rather than shy away from emotion, the group run right towards it with distortion cranked and hearts opened, tightening their careful distillation of pop and punk on each subsequent release.
