Chris Hutka (Ex- The Bunny The Bear) Dies

It has sadly been announced that Chris Hutka, best known as one of the original vocalists for The Bunny The Bear has died.

The cause of death hasn’t been publicly confirmed, the news of the passing was made public via a statement posted on the Facebook page of The Bunny The Bear.

The statement can be read below.

“As some may have heard… our original singer Chris Hutka has passed away.

I’ve know Chris since I was 15, and we spent the better part of a decade causing trouble together, making music, having ins… and having outs. All while creating thousands of memories I will never forget. Chris had a massive heart, and an undeniable talent. The voice of an angel.

Nothing will ever change the love I have for him, and I know many of you feel the same.

Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Rest In Peace man”

Hutka’s former bandmate Nat Blasdell whom is now a member of I Set My Friends On Fire also made a post on the frontman passing.

“Devastated doesn’t even begin to describe it. Losing someone you were in a band with is losing a part of family. We toured the world together. You were the big brother I never had. The most talented person I knew with a heart of gold. I’m absolutely heartbroken. You just moved back to New York and were so excited to reconnect. We were suppose to write new songs when I got home. Life isn’t fair man.

I love you forever Chris Hutka. Rest easy brother.”

Chris Hutka was the vocalist for The Bunny The Bear between 2008-2012 and then again between 2013-2014 before stepping down permanently.

As the vocalist for The Bunny The Bear, he appeared on the band’s first five full-length albums; 2010’s ‘The Bunny The Bear’, 2011’s ‘If You Don’t Have Anything Nice To Say…’, 2012’s ‘The Stomach For It’, 2013’s ‘Stories’, and 2014’s ‘Food Chain’.

In 2020 he became engaged to Haley Roback, whom also provided vocals for The Bunny The Bear in 2015.

Music Video Roundup 26/04/19

It’s 4PM on a Friday! This means it’s time for the music video roundup. If you’re new to either the blog or these music video roundup posts, this is how it works. Every week, I watch some of the best recently released music videos and compile them into a list for everyone’s viewing pleasure. They’re span across all the different genres, so expect something different for most of the tracks. Up first are the Michigan based metalcore group Famous Last Words, who’ve released ‘The Game’ which is off their upcoming EP, ‘Arizona’.

Next, we’ll switch things up for Greta Van Fleet, we’ve released a live video for ‘Highway Tune’. It’s a track which was their first single off their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising.

Moving to Coventry, we have Scream Blue Murder who’ve recently released a video for their anthem ‘Rock Bottom’ a track off their soon-to-be-released record where a character faces the tribulations of feel at rock bottom, with vocalist Aaron Bloomer walking in the streets as well.

Keeping in England for the next choice of band, we have metal newcomers Villainous who’re making waves up and down the country while giving a good impression from their self-titled EP last year and to top things off, they have a brand new video of ‘Obsolete’ which is off the aforementioned EP.

How about a masked duo for the next video? That sounds good, right? Well, the Bunny The Bear is something different for a lot of people but they’re definitely going to turn a few heads in their video for ‘Visions’ which you can view right below this.

It wasn’t until a few months ago that Alexisonfire released their titular comeback track ‘Familiar Drugs’ which was their first track in about nine years! Finally, there are some visuals to go with that track now as you can see right here.

Spanish Love Songs, the fantastic up and comers have been making some huge waves as of late. In the UK their upcoming short run of shows has two already sold out. Their debut record ‘Schmaltz’ was released last year but they’re already teasing the next chapter of the band as they’ve just signed with Pure Noise Records as well! Check out their track for ‘Losers’ below.

Following on from Danny Worsnop’s country vibes, his adventure is coming soon as his follow-up to ‘The Long Road Home’, ‘Shades Of Blue’ is going to be released next month! May 10th to be exact. Until then, he has an exciting new video in the form of ‘Best Bad Habit’ for all of us to enjoy.

Things have been moving the Post-Hardcore world of Acres. They’re nearing to the release date of their debut record ‘Lonely World’ but have a taste for what’s to come for everyone. And for those who want a taste of the live experience, the band will be supporting Casey on their final run of the UK and Europe. Check out ‘Talking In Your Sleep’ below.

And for the last video on the list, I always go for a favourite band but if I did that, Spanish Love Songs probably would’ve taken that spot. No, that’s not what I’ve done this week. I’ve gone for the most exciting and possibly confusing video for the last spot on the countdown. This is ‘Anxiety’ by Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes.

And that’s it for another week of music video roundup. Don’t forget to check back next week at 4PM sharp for another countdown of ten of the best recent music videos to feast your eyes upon. There’s also new posts every day on the Almost anything Media so be sure to check out anything that might catch your eye.

Music Video’s 27/03/18

Hey everyone, apologies that this post is coming late at the moment. Things are crazy on my course and everything in between at the moment so I haven’t had the time to do this post but it’s here now. Let’s get the music posts going but first, if you’re new, the list is ten of the best recently released music video’s from around the world and it ranges from the Pop-Punk, Rock, Metal, Heavy genres so first up is I Don’t Know How But They Found Me. It’s the creation of Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman’s delight of a project and here is their latest video.

Now, this next video is from Best Ex. Formally known as Candy Hearts, the band changed their name but still going in that rocking direction for the music. Here is their latest video for Jellyfish.

Back in January, Modern Error were the ones to keep an eye on and with Blackout Poetry their first offering for music in 2018, it’s evident that this is true.

Next, this band are due to set off on a huge 22 date headline tour of the UK which is rumoured to end the cycle of their sixth record, ‘Safe In Sound’ and ahead of this trek, dropped a video for ‘I Would’. IT showcases achieved footage of the band’s time on the road since dropping their latest album.

The next band in question The Bunny The Bear released their latest record less than a year ago but now they’re working on the follow up at the moment. For now, though, we do have their lead single, ‘Let Go’. It’s also the first to feature their new vocalist, known only for now as The Bear replacing Joseph Garcia who stepped down from vocal duties last year.

Up And Comers from Birmingham, UK are Layover. They’ve just recently dropped a video for the track ‘Slumber’ of their soon to be released EP, ‘Your Laughter Never Leaves’.

Currently touring off his tenth studio record, Say10 and with an upcoming co-headline run of shows with Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson has now released a video for the track, ‘Tattooed In Reverse’.

Next, is Queens Of The Stone Age. They’re preparing for their biggest UK to date this summer at Finsbury Park but until then, they have released the video for ‘Head Like A Haunted House’. It’s taken from their seventh record, ‘Villains’ which was released last year.

Going to the metalcore genre for the penultimate video is the band Shields. They’re gearing up to drop their full-length record ‘Life In Exile’, next month and ahead of its release they’ve released a video for it’s second single, ‘Black Dog’.

They’ve dedicated the track and video to George Christie, the band’s guitarist who tragically took his own life earlier this year.

Now here we are at the last video. They only released their brand new EP ‘All The Things I Never Said’ a few weeks ago and now Pale Waves have dropped a brand new video for their stunning track, ‘Heavenly’.

And that’s it for another round of music videos. I am doing my best to keep up with these posts but life sometimes just gets in the way and you have to prioritise things in your life. I am going to continue this but the next music video post will be coming back to the usual Friday upload from next week!
