The Wonder Years Announce New Record, ‘The Hum Goes On Forever’

The Wonder Years have announced their upcoming new record, ‘The Hum Goes On Forever’ set to drop on September 23rd 2022 via Hopeless Records.

In addition tot he announcement, the band have shared: ‘Wyatt’s Song (Your Name)’ and is written for vocalist Dan Campbell’s oldest son. It’s a song that also feels like the foundation for a lot of what the album will be about, and is as beautiful and emotional as you would expect.

Dan had this to say about it:

“It’s about the polarising forces of love and anxiety that come with being a new parent—simultaneously being so overjoyed that they’re here, about the miraculous nature of their existence, but afraid of all the ways you could fail them. It’s about raising children in a world that feels like it’s actively ending and how to make them feel safe and cared for despite that. It tries to breathe in the small, beautiful moments and exhale all of the invasive thoughts of despair.”

Dan Campbell (The Wonder Years) Announces Solo Record

The Wonder Years’ Dan Campbell has announced details of a new solo album.

The first released under his own name, ‘Other people’s Lives’ is set to be released on 19th November via Loneliest Place On Earth and Miscellaneous Recordings.

Made up of songs that he wrote for others over the last 18 months, he explains: “For me, and I’m sure for many of you, the last 18 months have been the hardest I can remember, mentally and emotionally. A lot of it felt like one long, gray spiral and I stayed afloat, in part, by writing these songs for and about other people. It gave me purpose and structure and connection when I badly needed it.

“I asked a few of those people if I could re-record the song I wrote about them for this record so that you could hear them too and they were gracious enough to say yes. The hope is that, by listening, you’ll share in their joy and in their grief—that you’ll inhabit their lives, briefly.”

You can check out two songs from the record, ‘Flight No.05’ and ‘When I Face Into The Wind’, below.

Mayday Parade & The Wonder Years Announce Support

Now, this is going to be epic.

The Wonder Years and Mayday Parade’s upcoming UK tour is approaching and they have some amazing support acts to come along with them in the form of Movements and Pronoun.

Now the tour was already going to be epic but now with these two support slots, it’s going to be a tour you don’t want to miss in February 2019.

Music Video’s 1/5/18

And we’re back for another round of music videos. Slam Dunk Festival has come and gone but that doesn’t mean the week isn’t rocking. We’re kicking things off with hardcore trio MSRY whose latest single’Broken Teeth’ is something you’d find on the heavier side of things.

Continuing with the heavy side, metalcore groud Bleeding Through have finally returned with their new record, ‘Love Will Kill All’ coming at the end of this month. Continuing the video’s is their track ‘Fade Into Ash’.

Back in February of this year, Butcher Babies came over to the UK for a headline run of shows and the weather they received when they came over was well… bad. Now though, we can see what went down at the shows in their video for ‘Look What We’ve Done’. It’s off their third record, ‘Lilith’ which was released in 2017.

The Wonder Years dropped their latest record ‘Sister Cities’ earlier this year and they’re still pushing forward with a record that can make or break them. Continuing their music video heaven is their track ‘Raining In Kyoto.

Next is Oh, Weatherly. We’re eagerly awaiting their record, ‘Lips Like Oxygen’ which drops on July 27th but until then, here’s what we can expect in their video for ‘Here Tonight’.

Now we’ll change things up a touch. Frank Turner has a new record out and it’s amazing. He’s a true genuine artist everyone needs to listen to, just like you have to listen to his new video for ‘Little Changes’.

Now this band have just headlined Slam Dunk Festival to what I’m hearing is roaring reviews. Additionally, Good Charlotte has just announced their upcoming album ‘Generation Rx’ and this is the first material we’re hearing from it in the video for ‘Actual Pain’.

Now, this band we on the same stage but earlier in the days to them. The band in question is State Champs and we might be three singles into their new record but this band could prove to be the next big thing in Pop-Punk as is the video for ‘Mine Is Gold’.

Motionless In White recently parted ways with their bassist Devin “Ghost” Sola but still featured him in their latest music videos for Voices. It’s marking the one year anniversary of ‘Graveyard Shift’, the band’s latest record and as we watch it, what is next for the band?

Lastly. Wait, first I have to say this video dropped today and I just had to have this on the week’s list for the last video because of this band. Halestorm are Grammy winners and everything a rock band should be in the modern age. Hard working, heavy hitting and true musicians. This new video which brings the band into a new age, ‘Uncomfortable’ is a testament to this as their new record, ‘Vicious’ will be dropped on July 27th.

The Wonder Years Stream New Record, ‘Sister Cities’ In Full

The Wonder Years newest record, ‘Sister Cities’ is tipped to be one of 2018’s finest in the world of rock andddd you can listen to it early. The band have surprised fans by streaming the record online ahead of its release.

Sister Cities is set be released tomorrow (April 6th 2018 via Hopeless Records) but now it’s being streamed in its entirety on The Independent’s website.

Music Video’s 23/02/18

Did you think I’d forget? I didn’t this time! It’s time for another round of ten great recent music video’s. Let get going!

First up is a great band called Bully and their new video for the track, “Focused’.

Now let’s turn things up a little. This UK group are set to drop a new record ‘Time Will Die’ this year but until then we have the video for their latest single. This is Rolo Tomassi and their video for ‘Aftermath’.

Fall Out Boy’s new record ‘Mania’ has been out in the world for just under a month now but they aren’t shy on the singles. This is the fifth from the record and the video for ‘Wilson (Expensive Mistakes) sees them hosting and selling products on a shopping channel. A little weird I know, but lets see what happens.

After a great 2017 for this British metal group, they’re tipped for better things this year. With the release of ‘Immanentize Eschaton’, there’s no doubt it will be a great 2017. This is Venom Prison.

This next band are currently on tour supporting Dream State but the rising Londoner’s known as Chapter and Verse has debuted a video to accompany their track ‘Magazines’ which initially dropped in November.

Next up, Silverstein have released a fantastic video for their track ‘Whiplash’ which is off their ninth record, ‘Dead Reflection’ which also acts as a continuation for ‘Lost Positives’.

Now, the punk rockers Rise Against have added to their latest full-length record, ‘Wolves’, which was released last year. This is their video for a track off Wolves called House On Fire.

Now every week there’s always a group I’m always following, it’s time for that group. These come from the post-hardcore legends known as Senses Fail and this is their single from their upcoming record, ‘If There Is Light, It Will Find You’. Be sure to check this one out this week! Here’s the video.

Now for an unsigned group. This is from the stellar rockers from Manchester, Counterpoint. It’s from their upcoming EP, ‘If Not Now, When? and its the video for the track, ‘Leave It All Behind’.

Lastly, this video comes from the legendary rockers The Wonder Years which sees their first release of new music in three years since No Closer To Heaven in 2015. Now, their upcoming release, Sister Cities, comes out on April 6th. This is the video for the title track.
